The ideal Develpment & Marketing Coordinator will have an exceptional level of organization, follow-through, and attention to detail. Enjoy building relationships in the community and with staff. Must be tech-savvy, a self-starter, team-oriented, anticipate needs before they arise, be able to multi-task, and work at a fast pace. Must be goal-oriented and focused on results. Experience with event logistics is a plus. Must have a passion for enhancing the mission of Cancer Care Services.
Responsibilities:
Works directly with all members of the Development Team to ensure fundraising goals are achieved
Prepare donor-specific, event, or appeal acknowledgment letters every week
Assists with maintaining donor database accuracy and integrity. Bloomerang or other donor database systems are preferred.
Assist the marketing team with special projects (i.e.: End-of-Year donor campaign, Monthly Giving Program) and oversee the distribution of these projects
Assist the marketing team with social media, newsletters, and other projects
Assist with logistics of the annual fundraising luncheon and monthly mission awareness hours
Assists with Supporting Event fundraisers, including in-person representation, as needed.
Research new supporting event opportunities for Cancer Care Services.
Provide general administrative support to the Philanthropy Team and other detail-oriented responsibilities as assigned.
Attend Development Board Committee meetings, special project meetings, and staff meetings. Follow-up on action items and deadlines
Coordinate the monthly e-newsletter, including sending it out through MailChimp, adhering to a timely schedule and accountability
Coordinate special event volunteers
Qualifications – Required:
Must be passionate about enhancing the mission of Cancer Cares Services and making a difference in the community.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Must have an acute attention to detail in writing and in managing multiple projects.
Positive attitude, flexibility, team player, creative, adaptable, growth mindset, and highly organized.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and goal-driven
Social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) & technology program proficiency (Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Canva, etc.)
Ability to coordinate event logistics according to budget, timeline, and event goals
Ability to anticipate needs, and take preemptive and appropriate measures.
Qualifications – Preferred:
Successful non-profit fundraising, marketing/communications, or administrative experience.
Experience with database software (Bloomerang).
Experience with Asana (or similar platform)
Website management experience (WordPress)
Bilingual in Spanish and English (oral and written) is considered a strong asset
Work Hours and Location:
Cancer Care Services is open Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm. This position is full-time and requires flexibility to work various hours, evenings, and possibly weekends, depending on current program and event needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary $45,000 | Full-time | FLSA Status: Exempt
Cancer Care Services offers a variety of benefits to our staff including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a retirement match for full-time employees. Paid vacation and sick time are provided, as well as paid time off for designated holidays. The Cancer Care Services office is closed the week of Christmas, providing additional paid time off. We also offer flexible work schedules and a supportive and team-oriented environment.
