Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Investment / Business Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing substantial grant funding through well-crafted grant proposals, with a focus on investment and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Proposal Development: Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals to secure funding for investment and infrastructure projects.
Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive strategies to align grant opportunities with client objectives and project goals.
Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to gather necessary information, understand their vision, and effectively communicate their projects’ value propositions.
Budget Creation: Develop and review detailed project budgets, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and client resources.
Program Officer Engagement: Cultivate relationships with program officers and effectively communicate project merits during the application process.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in grant writing, with a focus on investment and infrastructure grants.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in winning state and/or federal grants, including single awards exceeding $150,000.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of investment and infrastructure grant requirements and best practices.
Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Budgeting: Experience in creating and reviewing project budgets for grant applications.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with clients and program officers.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with grant management software and tools.
Knowledge of current trends and opportunities in investment and infrastructure funding.
Previous success in securing large-scale grants for public-private partnership projects.
Familiarity with economic development principles and practices.
