Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Non-Profit Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing substantial grant funding through well-crafted grant proposals for various non-profit sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Proposal Development: Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals to secure funding for diverse non-profit projects and initiatives.
Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive strategies to align grant opportunities with client objectives and project goals.
Client Interaction: Work closely with non-profit clients to gather necessary information, understand their mission, and effectively communicate their projects’ impact.
Budget Creation: Develop and review detailed project budgets, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and organizational resources.
Funder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with foundation officers and government agencies, effectively communicating program merits during the application process.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in non-profit grant writing.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in winning grants from various funding sources, including single awards exceeding $50,000.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of non-profit grant requirements and best practices across multiple sectors.
Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Budgeting: Proficiency in creating and reviewing project budgets for grant applications.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with clients and funding agencies.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with grant management software and tools.
Knowledge of current trends and opportunities in non-profit funding.
Proven success in writing federal grant applications.
Familiarity with a wide range of non-profit sectors (e.g., education, healthcare, social services, arts and culture).
