Director of Events and Marketing

Reports To: Foundation President

Classification: Exempt/Salaried position

(M-F, 40 hours per week. Occasional nights and weekends may be required to support meetings and special events.)

About Us:

The Delaware County Foundation works closely with donors, local leaders, and hundreds of nonprofit partners to improve the quality of life in Delaware County.

Position Summary:

The Director of Events and Marketing is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing special events and marketing initiatives to support the foundation’s goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event planning, marketing strategy, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Note: This position is based out of the Foundation office in Powell and does not offer the option of being remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Planning

Develop, plan, and execute a variety of special events, including fundraising galas, community outreach programs, and donor appreciation events.
Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and guest management.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events.

Marketing Strategy

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote foundation initiatives and events.
Utilize digital and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences effectively.
Collaborate to create compelling promotional materials.

Stakeholder Engagement

Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and other supporters.
Develop and maintain effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed about Foundation’s activities and impact.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proven experience in event planning and marketing, with a track record of successful campaigns and events.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with colleagues, grantees, and donors.
Proficiency in using marketing tools, social media platforms, and event management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,253.00 – $55,033.00 per year
