Position Summary
The Marketing Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting the mission and activities of the Zion Landover Campus through effective communication strategies. This position primarily focuses on managing social media content and digital assets to engage and connect with the members and the wider community.
Essential Duties
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Works closely with the Connections Pastor to create a strong and engaging online presence.
Manages and oversees Campus Communications Team.
Manages social media content calendar and engagement strategy.
Coordinates creation and distribution of regular internal newsletters to support organizational information sharing and campus engagement.
Manages digital assets for campus-specific events and campaigns.
Manages campus-specific events in the church management system (MyZion) for publishing on the church calendar and public website.
Submits promotional and digital asset requests for campus campaigns and events.
Manages campus social media, newsletter and other correspondence.
Ensures alignment with marketing and communication of Zion church’s global brand and message through various media to assure accurate, creative, and consistent tone, look, voice and delivery.
Manages online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
Ensures outstanding customer service experience on all social media platforms.
Collaborates with Global Communications & Marketing Department and ministry heads to develop a comprehensive communications strategy which includes graphic design, video development, website management, copywriting, social media management, electronic newsletter and print material.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
Previous experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.
Must possess excellent relational skills for connecting with people and working with fellow staff members and volunteer leaders.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in social media platforms and content management systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
