Job Overview
We’re on the hunt for an Account Manager (AM) who’s ready to jump in, get their hands dirty, and make things happen. As an AM at Vario, you’ll be the linchpin between our clients and our team—leading client relationships, crafting strategies, and championing smart processes that help us do our best work efficiently. You won’t just be managing accounts—you’ll be driving the entire client experience. We need someone who loves the balance of strategy and execution, and who thrives on being deeply involved in the work. You’ll be setting the vision, leading the charge, and ensuring that everything we do is rooted in smart planning and creative solutions.

What you’ll do
At Vario, being an AM means having your hands in everything—from high-level strategy to everyday problem-solving. You’ll lead client relationships, guide the creative process, and ensure flawless execution on every project. Lead & Inspire: You’ll be the go-to person for our clients, guiding them through the creative process and making sure we’re delivering results that knock their socks off. You’ll not only set the direction, but also roll up your sleeves to make sure the day-to-day work is on track and delivers results.
Strategic and Tactical: You’ll work side-by-side with clients, developing marketing strategies that hit the mark. As part of a small team, you won’t just manage—you’ll be right there in the thick of things, collaborating, brainstorming, and ensuring that every project aligns with the client’s goals.
Deep Client Relationships: You’ll build strong, lasting relationships by staying close to your clients and understanding their business inside and out. By being deeply involved, you’ll anticipate their needs and offer solutions that go above and beyond.
Team Player: You’ll work side-by-side with our internal teams, from creative to strategy, making sure everyone’s aligned and projects are running smoothly. You’re as comfortable guiding the team as you are jumping in to help solve a problem or refine a concept.
Process Champion: We’re big on efficiency here. You’ll look for ways to streamline processes, helping the team stay on track and optimize how we deliver projects—because we know great work comes from a smooth, well-oiled operation.
Innovation & Solutions: Clients come to us for fresh, creative ideas, and you’ll help deliver. You’ll push the envelope and lead the charge in finding solutions that our clients didn’t even know they needed.
Ownership & Accountability: You’ll take full ownership of the projects you lead, making sure they’re delivered on time, on budget, and with the quality we’re proud to stand behind. You’ll manage all the moving parts, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Grow the Business: You’ll always be on the lookout for opportunities to expand client relationships and bring new ideas to the table. Whether it’s introducing new services or pitching fresh concepts, you’ll help grow both your clients’ success and Vario’s.
Your day-to-day
Client Champion: You’ll build and nurture client relationships, making sure their needs are not only met but exceeded. You’ll lead presentations, field questions, and always be ready with a solution to keep things moving forward.
Project Mastermind: From start to finish, you’ll be the conductor of each project—managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables, while ensuring we’re always working smart. You’ll keep everything running smoothly without missing a beat.
Creative Collaborator: You’ll work closely with the Creative Director and team to ensure the creative work is sharp, innovative, and on-brand. Your feedback will help bring ideas to life, and you’ll ensure client feedback is integrated seamlessly into the process.
Financial Steward: You’ll manage client budgets and keep a close eye on the financials, ensuring we’re profitable while delivering top-notch work.
Problem-Solver on the Fly: As projects evolve, you’ll proactively address challenges and pivot when needed. You’ll bring your hands-on, solution-oriented mindset to keep everything running smoothly.
Process Guru: You’re always thinking about how we can do things better. You’ll champion processes that help our team work more efficiently, helping us deliver great work without the unnecessary stress.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who loves being hands-on and leading by doing. You should have a strategic mindset but also enjoy diving into the details, working closely with both clients and internal teams. If you’re someone who’s excited about taking ownership, loves building relationships, and thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment, you’ll fit right in.
Experience: You’ve spent at least 6 years managing clients in a creative or marketing agency, and you know how to lead a team while juggling multiple client relationships. You’ve got the experience, but you’re always eager to learn more.
Leadership & Collaboration: You lead by example and know how to inspire a team. You believe in collaboration and know that great work happens when we all come together—and you know how to keep things efficient without sacrificing creativity.
Creative & Strategic: You’re not just about checking boxes—you’ve got a creative streak and a strategic mind. You know how to think big, but also how to translate ideas into actionable plans.
Communication Pro: You’re a natural communicator who can build trust with clients, rally the team, and present ideas with confidence. Whether it’s a client pitch or giving feedback, you know how to get your point across.
Organized & Detail-Oriented: You’ve got an eye for detail and know how to keep multiple projects moving at once. Plus, you’re always thinking about how to work smarter, not harder.
Positive & Proactive: You bring energy, positivity, and a can-do attitude to everything you do. You’re always looking for ways to improve, whether it’s a creative idea or a process tweak that makes life easier for everyone.
