Job Overview:
We seek an experienced WordPress and Marketing Cloud Technical Specialist to join our dynamic team at Mecum Auctions. In this role, you will maintain and enhance our existing website and Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, working closely with our UX/UI designer, web content manager, SEO Specialist, and development team. Your primary focus will be leveraging existing patterns, revising them, or creating new patterns to improve our web presence and implementing our Salesforce Marketing Cloud
The Mecum.com website is built on a Headless WordPress platform, combining WordPress, Next.js, and Vercel to ensure top-tier speed, performance, and scalability. You will be responsible for implementing designs and uploading content. This role is ideal for someone working within the platform’s existing framework, finding innovative ways to improve the user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customize and enhance website features using Gutenberg in WordPress based on the designs provided.
Work with pre-made website components and patterns, adjusting or creating new patterns as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve website-related issues and escalate when further solutions require the development team
Collaborate with the team to find creative solutions to overcome platform constraints and meet tight deadlines.
Stay updated with the latest trends in WordPress, identifying opportunities to improve the website within the existing framework.
Work with the Email Marketing team to implement and build out Marketing Cloud.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Experience with Tailwind is a plus.
Familiarity with WordPress and Gutenberg editor
Ability to work with and enhance existing website patterns, with the flexibility to create new ones when needed.
Experience troubleshooting indexing issues to ensure proper site visibility.
Proficient in using Google Search Console to monitor and optimize website performance.
Skilled at identifying and resolving crawl errors and sitemap issues.
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to creatively navigate and overcome platform restrictions.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $54,084.00 – $57,708.00 per year
