Our client, SAPEX Exports, a fruit exporting and importing company based in Stellenbosch, is looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic and client-focused individual to join their Marketing team as Fruit Marketer:
Eastern Markets. The ideal candidate will work with the CEO and be responsible for the Marketing and Sales of its fruit products to the Asian- and South East Asian markets. The ideal candidate should be approachable, open-minded and have an eagerness to understand the full sphere of fruits from local producer to the end consumer in international markets.
Responsibilities:
Developing & executing sales and marketing plans
Liaison with commercial team on marketing & sales initiatives
Conducting market research relating to trends, customer needs and competition
Business development
Relationship management with customers and growers
Key accounts management
Reporting to management on sales performance and making suggestions for improvements
Process coordination related to logistics and exports
Representation of the brand at trade fairs and events (local and international)
All other tasks related to the position
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
Diploma or Degree in Sales/Marketing will be beneficial
Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing and sales
Knowledge of table grapes will be advantageous
Experience with in the Eastern Markets will be beneficial
Willingness to travel locally and internationally, with a valid passport for international travel
