What You’ll Do
As the Social Media and Event Planning Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all social media marketing, organizing Catalyst major events, sponsorships, and fostering strategic partnerships. Your work will be pivotal in promoting the Catalyst brand and engaging with real estate investors. You will report directly to the Marketing Director and engage regularly with the CEO. This will be a highly responsible full-time role. You will be the owner of the monthly market update webinar, all company events and sponsorships, 4 monthly events we attend and sponsor and a regular, robust social media schedule. Some travel required.
1. Catalyst VIP Mixer for Real Estate Investors:
Event Coordination & Execution: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our exclusive VIP Mixers, where high-level real estate investors gather to network and learn. This includes managing event logistics, travel, and venue selection to ensure a premium experience. You will be the owner and responsible party for major events and sponsorships.
Recruiting Paid Sponsors: Recruit sponsors from relevant industries to underwrite the costs of these exclusive events. You’ll identify potential sponsors, negotiate deals, and secure sponsorships that benefit both Catalyst and our event partners. The objective is to ensure minimal costs for Catalyst through sponsorships.
Event Marketing & Follow-Up: Market the mixers to target audiences, ensuring strong attendance. After the event, follow up with attendees to nurture relationships, gather feedback, and convert leads into clients.
2. Strategic Event Management:
LU EXPO (Annual): As Catalyst is a platinum sponsor of LU EXPO, the largest gathering of active real estate investors, you’ll coordinate our presence at this key industry event, ensuring seamless booth setup, staffing, and event schedule management. This is a 3 day expo event that requires travel to Dallas with expenses paid.
Spotlight Night, TWA Expo (Quarterly), & Lending Classes: These events serve as prime opportunities for referrals and partnership building. You’ll oversee our presence at these TWA events, ensuring we’re maximally represented to generate quality leads.
Locate and attend and potentially sponsor other high ROI events: We are looking for a marketing face to get out into the community along with our salespeople. Minimum 4 per month – 1 requiring overnight travel to Dallas or San Antonio with expenses paid.
3. Social Media Content Creation & Engagement:
Daily Reels Production: Create and post 2 engaging, educational content focused social media reels daily, featuring content about real estate investment, Catalyst services, positive reviews, testimonials, or motivational insights that resonate with our target audience.
Video Recording & Editing: Record videos to promote events, loan officer achievements, market insights, and company updates. Use tools like Opus Pro to add captions and create polished snippets that are easily shareable.
Buffer Scheduling: Manage and schedule social media posts using Buffer to ensure consistent and timely content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Content Strategy: Plan and create social media posts showcasing company highlights, loan officer promotions, real estate news, and updates on industry trends. Your responsibility is driving engagement, buzz and leads!
Webinar Hosting and Highlights: After each Real Estate Market Update Webinar, create and share snippets on social media that highlight key insights and valuable takeaways. Add captions using Opus Pro for accessibility and better engagement.
Event Promotion: Promote the Catalyst VIP Mixers, LU EXPO, Spotlight Night, and other industry events. Record behind-the-scenes footage, and share highlights before, during, and after events to engage followers and increase attendance.
4. Performance & Reporting:
Analyze marketing performance across social media and events. Present results once monthly in face-to-face marketing meeting.
Monthly reporting: Engagement – Social media engagement, conversions, VIP Mixers, and webinar results.

Requirements:
Marketing Experience: Proven success in marketing, ideally within the mortgage or real estate investment space. Experience leading events, social media marketing campaigns, and generating leads.
Event Management Expertise: Experience coordinating and running high-profile events like mixers and expos. Maximizing buzz around the event, attendance, a true VIP experience and minimizing costs to Catalyst are the keys.
Sponsorship Experience: Ability to identify, negotiate, and secure sponsorships for events, driving revenue while creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
Real Estate Knowledge: Understanding of the real estate investment industry is preferred but not required.
