Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator (10-15 hours a week)

Reports to Executive Director

General Summary

The Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Executive Director with all marketing and communication efforts, designing all marketing materials, creating social media posts, maintaining website, developing and overseeing annual marketing fundraising campaigns, and producing materials for other staff as needed (Marisa’s Mission overviews, sponsorship decks, stewardship reports, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have non-profit marketing and social media experience, as well as be a team player who is extremely creative, organized, personable, and forward-thinking.

Marketing

Work with Executive Director to create and implement a strategic communications plan

Utilize Canva to create collateral, stewardship reports, sponsorship decks, brochures, flyers and event signage designed to enhance fundraising efforts, build relationships with donors and increase visibility

Learn how to navigate Marisa’s Mission’s fundraising platform (Bloomerang), and create email blasts to our supporters

Update website content as needed, with Executive Directors oversight, to ensure content is current & impactful

Assist Executive Director with creation of branded items (merchandise for events, stewardship gifts, etc.), including, but not limited to, product research, price comparisons and liaising with vendors

Track all marketing information and assets, including collateral, vendor information, merchandise/gifts, photos and testimonials from partners, etc.

Oversee all signage and branding at Marisa’s Mission events, ensuring proper setup, auditing what needs to be updated/replaced, and maintaining an inventory list

Draft scripts/speaking points for emcees and President & Founder for events or appearances

Create and edit videos for website, email communications, etc.

Assist other staff with any marketing needs Social Media

Execute social media strategic plan with the goal of increasing following and expanding reach

Research social media trends and make suggestions on how to improve engagement

Create social content (text, images & video) for all Marisa’s Mission business units

Respond to social media inquiries/comments on all social platforms

Oversee Facebook Fundraisers and Facebook Birthday Fundraisers, including developing ideas to market to new audiences and tracking fundraising results

Quantify and analyze social media engagement and present findings and recommend areas for improvement to Marketing Manager Campaigns

Execute initiatives for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Giving Tuesday, end of year, monthly donors, text to donate, and any other campaigns, with the goal of driving revenue, increasing event participation and raising awareness

Other

Support the planning for, and implementation of, Marisa’s Mission’s events

Assist with special internal projects that are critical to achieving strategic objectives

Perform other duties as assigned

Attend Marisa’s Mission events and capture moments to use for collateral

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Passion for Marisa’s Mission’s Mission of helping families affected by cancer

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 2-4 years of marketing experience (non-profit experience preferred)

Must have a marketing portfolio demonstrating previous work

Experience managing social media for a business on multiple channels (Facebook, Instagram,

Twitter, LinkedIn & TikTok)

Strong eye for graphic design

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills

Superior organizational skills & attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines

High level of competence in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Experience with Squarespace, Adobe & Canva

Ability to create & edit video content (iMovie, Reels, TikTok, etc.)

CRM and fundraising site experience preferred

A valid driver’s license and access to a car for off-site meetings

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Part-time position (10-15 hours per week). Remote and In office. Monday through Friday. Some travel and evening and weekend work required.

SALARY:

Competitive nonprofit salary commensurate with experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
