About Global Supply ManagementGlobal Supply Management (GSM) is responsible for helping Amex maximize the purchasing power of over $8B of third party spend. We provide strategic consultation to the business and provide end to end procurement services. We maximize the purchasing power of the Company to drive the best value from our supplier base which then frees up investment capacity for the Blue Box. GSM together with our business partners manages the supplier strategy for the Company, identifying and on-boarding new suppliers, realizing significant cost saves and revenue generation relating to working with Global Commercial Services and Global Merchant Services to increase billings and merchant coverage and ensuring an optimal user experience for Amex employees and suppliers.
Position Summary:Global Supply Management (GSM) is responsible for helping American Express maximize its purchasing power, of which over $3B is within the marketing and promotions (M&P) category. The Global Agency Relations team is responsible for bringing the best expertise, quality, and innovations to American Express through our third-party marketing relationships. In proactively managing our strategy and relationships with agencies and partners, we ensure the best partner talent and performance and improve the value of our marketing investments.
Your Mission:The Global Agency Relations Program Manager will both lead and support core operational workstreams that enable marketing partners across the enterprise to work efficiently, effectively, and compliantly with our agencies. Work will include a wide range of functions, including, but not limited to, agency relationship management, agency compliance, and business unit support.
Responsibilities, at a high level, will include:
Support ongoing management of our global marketing agency roster (100+ agencies)
Establish deep, productive relationships with our most strategic agency partners including principal agencies
Inform the overall agency strategy and leverage marketplace knowledge to further strategy and selection of best-in-class agency talent
Communicate to and consult with internal teams across the organization to understand their marketing needs and to help them make sound agency selection decisions
Educate marketers on agency policy and compliance; develop and provide training when appropriate
Develop and share content with global marketers on best practices for agency management
