GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision and execution of the company’s marketing initiatives. This role involves overseeing all aspects of marketing, including SEO, social media, vendor management, and staying abreast of industry trends. The Director of Marketing will work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
JOB DUTIES
Strategic Marketing Leadership
· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
· Lead the marketing team in executing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
· Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends, ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative.
SEO and Digital Marketing
· Oversee the development and execution of SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive website traffic
· Coordinate with content, design, and development teams to optimize website content and structure for SEO
· Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance online visibility
Social Media Management
· Develop and manage the company’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement
· Oversee the creation and curation of content for social media platforms, ensuring consistency in brand messaging
· Track and analyze social media performance, adjusting strategies to maximize impact and reach
Vendor and Partner Management
· Collaborate with external marketing vendors and partners to ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns.
· Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors to optimize marketing spend and performance.
· Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
Department Leadership and Development
· Track and report on marketing expenditures, adjusting as necessary to stay within budget.
· Analyze the financial impact of marketing activities and provide insights to senior management.
· Brand Management and Promotion
· Oversee the development and execution of branding initiatives to enhance the company’s market position
· Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
· Develop promotional strategies and campaigns to support product launches and other key initiatives.
· Data Analysis and Reporting
· Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies
· Prepare and present regular reports on marketing performance to senior management.
· Use insights from data analysis to inform future marketing strategies and decisions.
Personal Skills
· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
Minimum Requirements
· Lead the marketing team in executing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
Proven experience in social media management and marketing
Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing strategies
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and content marketing
Familiarity with multichannel marketing and performance marketing
Excellent copywriting and research skills
Experience with marketing automation tools and e-commerce platforms
