Grant Manager Job Description

Job Title: Grant Manager

Report to: MACDS Director

Job Summary:

The Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of grant acquisition and ensuring that the MACDS complies with the terms and conditions of awarded grants. This position combines grant management and regulatory compliance expertise to support the successful implementation of funded projects while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and private funding regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Management:

Grant Administration:

o Manage awarded grants, ensuring that funds are used according to the grant’s

terms and objectives.

o Develop and maintain a grant tracking system to monitor application status,

deadlines, funding amounts, and reporting requirements.

o Collaborate with the MACDS Director to ensure proper utilization of grant funds

for specific programs and initiatives.

Budget Management:

o Work with the MACDS Director and finance team to create detailed grant budgets

and ensure expenditures comply with grant guidelines.

o Track expenditures and ensure that funds are used efficiently and in accordance

with the grant’s objectives.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

Compliance Monitoring:

o Ensure that the school’s grant activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations,

and funding agency requirements.

o Develop and implement internal processes to monitor compliance with grant

requirements, including expenditure tracking and reporting.

o Conduct regular audits of funded projects to ensure adherence to grant guidelines.

Reporting and Documentation:

o Prepare and submit financial and narrative progress reports to funders as required

by grant agreements.o Maintain accurate records of grant documentation, including applications, reports,

correspondence, and financial statements.

o Keep detailed documentation of compliance activities, ensuring transparency and

readiness for any audit or review.

Internal Policies and Procedures:

o Develop, review, and update internal policies and procedures to ensure that all

staff involved in grant activities understand and follow compliance requirements.

o Provide ongoing training for school staff on grant compliance and reporting

standards.

o Advise the Director and Official Board on compliance issues and assist in

resolving any concerns.

Stakeholder Communication and Coordination:

Relationship Management:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for funders, government agencies, and other

external stakeholders regarding grants and compliance matters.

o Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with current and potential funding

sources to maximize future grant opportunities.

Collaboration:

o Work closely with MACDS Director and Official Board to ensure that grants are

properly executed and aligned with the school’s strategic goals.

o Provide support as needed in understanding and adhering to grant guidelines and

compliance requirements.

Evaluation and Reporting:

Program Evaluation:

o Measure the outcomes and effectiveness of grant-funded programs to assess their

impact and align with funders’ expectations.

o Work with MACDS Director to collect data, track key performance indicators and

report on the success of grant-funded projects.

Impact Reporting:

o Prepare detailed reports to demonstrate the success and impact of funded

initiatives

o .Grant Research & Application:

Research and identify new funding opportunities that align with the

school’s mission and strategic goals.

Write compelling, clear, and detailed grant proposals to secure funding

from federal, state, local, and private sources.

Develop, submit, and track grant applications in a timely manner.Qualifications:

Knowledge of nonprofit or educational accreditation processes

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and private funding regulations, as well as compliance

standards for grants.

Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and grant management

software.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit

Management, or a related field preferred

At least 2-3 years of experience in grant management, compliance, or a related field,

preferably within the education sector.

Experience with compliance-related audits or regulatory reviews.

Work Environment:

This is a part-time position 25 hrs. per week.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
