Job Summary
The board of New England Sculptors Association (NESA) would like to hire a skilled and dedicated part-time grant writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in proposal writing and strategic planning, with a proven ability to develop compelling grant proposals that secure funding for our programs. This role requires excellent research skills, attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and a passion and appreciation for arts.
Responsibilities
Write and edit grant proposals that align with organizational goals and funding requirements.
Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources and opportunities.
Collaborate with program staff to gather information necessary for proposal development.
Develop budgets and financial documents to accompany grant proposals.
Proofread and review all written materials for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with guidelines.
Manage contracts and ensure adherence to grant requirements throughout the funding period.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to align grant writing efforts with organizational objectives.
Assist in program development initiatives by providing insights based on funding trends and opportunities.
Requirements
Proven experience in grant proposal writing, with a successful track record of securing funding.
Strong skills in technical writing, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Excellent research abilities to identify relevant data and statistics that support proposals.
Familiarity with budgeting processes related to grant applications.
Knowledge of contract management principles is preferred.
Strong proofreading skills to ensure high-quality submissions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
