Position: Group Director, Media Planning (Hybrid)

Job Description:

We are looking to add a Group Director, Media Planning to our team for a CPG client with dentsu

X. You will join a

supportive team

and work with a client that sees us as a true partner.

You will serve in an important

leadership

role. You will also get to demonstrate your working knowledge of the media space (Traditional and Digital media) and available media research and systems. You will help manage the daily tasks by assuring focus on important client goals and communicating appropriate resource needs to meet ongoing client goals.

You will be the senior-most planning leader with depth of planning experience across all channels and customer journey touchpoints as well as the primary point-of-contact for Managing Directors/Business Leads.

You will have regular in-person responsibilities, so you will need to be commutable to dentsu’s Chicago office. You will report directly into our SVP, Client Solutions and Planning.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding of all media channels and experience coordinating across multiple media disciplines with a heavy focus on social and influencer

• 10+ years of experience with full funnel media campaigns, most notably upper funnel

• Coordinate with multi-channel teams to design

modern

, strategic and thoughtful integrated media plans across a myriad of channels (TV, CTV, Video, Social, Programmatic and Audio)

• Comfort overseeing and communicating directly with clients on questions and media plans

• Accountable for all client-deliverables. Ensure all materials, and reports are delivered in a timely manner and error-free

• Experience w/ analyzing competitive landscapes, pulling reports using agency tools and compiling insights

• Accountable for the development & maintenance of

innovative

testing frameworks/roadmaps that map to client & agency vision

• Build a team culture with testing &

innovation

at the center

• Guide media channel selection and forward think on new opportunities

• Be onsite at dentsu’s downtown Chicago office twice a week

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of total experience in a large agency setting, ideally working within the CPG vertical

• 10+ years of media planning and buying experience in the TV, CTV, Social and digital landscape

• 5+ years of experience of leading multiple levels of direct reports in a large agency setting

• Comfortable working with budgets/numbers and an understanding of mathematical concepts

The anticipated

salary range

for this position is $136,000 – $219,650. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, vision,
