Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Program Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various grant programs, ensuring that they align with organizational goals and objectives. This position requires a strong background in systems management, research, and strategic planning, along with excellent proposal writing skills. The Program Officer will be responsible for facilitating change management processes and ensuring effective procurement practices.
As our Grant Program Officer, you will be responsible for managing multiple federal and state-funded projects, ensuring smooth execution, compliance, and strategic impact for our clients. You will work directly with government agencies, nonprofits, and private-sector partners to help them navigate complex funding programs, implement policies, and drive successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement program strategies that align with the organization’s mission and objectives.
Conduct thorough research to inform program development and decision-making.
Write compelling proposals to secure funding and support for various initiatives.
Review legal documents and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Manage procurement processes to acquire necessary resources for program implementation.
Oversee change management initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records of program activities, including documentation review and reporting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful program execution and evaluation.
Required Experience
Proven track record of successfully managing million-dollar grant programs.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing CDBG, CDBG-Entitlement, CDBG-DR, or other HUD-funded grants or with federally funded grant programs.
Proven experience in systems management, research, and strategic planning within a program or project management context.
Strong skills in proposal writing, with a track record of successful funding applications.
Familiarity with legal frameworks relevant to program operations is preferred.
Experience in change management processes is highly desirable.
Proficient in procurement practices and records management to support program activities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Pay: $35.95 – $40.15 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
