About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Interim Head of Communications & Marketing to lead our internal and external communications functions. This is a hands-on role for a communications leader who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment, with experience working in organisations that are in a build phase rather than fully developed corporate structures. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic oversight and execution across multiple communication channels, leveraging both digital and traditional mediums on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives.
Lead and implement internal and external communications efforts, ensuring messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with our corporate identity.
Coordinate with JV shareholders and their marketing teams for aligned messaging across events and publications.
Support the Executive leadership team and production teams with marketing initiatives, client presentations, and event facilitation.
Craft compelling narratives, talking points, and scripts for senior executives, ensuring clarity, cultural awareness, and tone adjustment for different audiences.
Optimise and amplify key events and moments in time, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement across relevant channels.
Enhance digital communications and marketing efforts, leveraging data-driven insights to increase reach and effectiveness.
Manage relationships with industry media networks, ensuring the company is well-positioned in the financial services space.
Engage with US and Global stakeholders, tailoring communication strategies to diverse global audiences and adopting communications to cultural nuances.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between brand messaging, marketing initiatives, and corporate communications.
Maintain up-to-date corporate website and intranet content.
Support investor relations-style communications where applicable, particularly in a private equity setting.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience leading communications and marketing functions within the financial services sector (Reinsurance experience beneficial but not essential).
Expertise in internal and external communications, shaping strategic messaging.
A strong understanding and appreciation of global cultures, with the ability to adapt communication accordingly.
Track record of delivering across both digital and analogue communication channels.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, or transformation environment.
Exceptional writing and editorial skills, including the development of talking points, speeches, and executive scripts.
Strong stakeholder management and the ability to engage effectively across different regions, particularly with US and Global audiences.
A strong grasp of emerging communication trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
Experience liaising with industry media and understanding the nuances of media relations.
Exposure to investor relations-style communications within a private or PE-backed setting is advantageous.
