Job Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; Flexible hours to allow for evenings and weekends as needed. Must be willing to work weekends and nights for development-related events.

Job Overview: This role will drive external relationships and hit development and fundraising targets. It will also play a key role in creating and implementing strategies that increase the organization’s visibility, engage donors, and support event marketing efforts. This position also drives the correspondence and administrative needs for the development department and fundraising events throughout the year.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Outreach and Relationship Building

Serve as the primary point of contact for all partnership-related communications between RMHC and local McDonald’s franchises
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage key stakeholders, including donors, community partners, corporate sponsors, and other external audiences
Identify and cultivate potential donors, corporate partners, and grant opportunities to increase funding and support
Represent the organization at public events, networking opportunities, and meetings to enhance visibility and build strategic alliances
Work in tandem with the Volunteer & Grants Manager to cultivate lasting partnerships with organizations that volunteer

Marketing & Development

Assist the Marketing and Development Director in donor cultivation and solicitation strategies, ensuring development goals and metrics are met or exceeded
Call current and prospective donors to sponsor RMHC of San Antonio events or participate in campaigns
Collaborate with McDonald’s teams to identify and implement fundraising opportunities aligned with our organization’s goals
Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship. Send detailed and personalized correspondence with clientele including mass mailings utilizing mail merge technology; sending thank you letters, requests, action items, or campaigns
Create and implement marketing campaigns to promote fundraising events, public programs, and organizational initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams to produce compelling stories and visuals that demonstrate impact and resonate with donors
Lead marketing efforts for events, including crafting messaging, promoting sponsorships, and driving attendance
Stay up to date with marketing and fundraising trends, identifying new opportunities for growth and engagement
Lead internal engagement activities to promote health and well-being
Other duties as assigned

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required.

Strong customer relationship skills with the ability to cultivate, engage, and retain donors and partners
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with digital media, marketing, communications, and/or fundraising. A minimum of 2 years working in a development-type role is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates
This position requires occasional evening hours and weekends
Successfully pass local, state, and national Criminal Background Check

Physical Demands

Constant – Ability to communicate with staff, board, funders, outside agencies, community leaders, and others over the telephone and in person.
Constant – Ability to input data into a computer, make calculations, complete paperwork, and produce reports.
Frequent – Ability to review and proofread documents to determine accuracy.
Frequent – Ability to drive safely and recognize hazards.
Occasional – Ability to lift, stack, load, and move up to 10 pounds from varied heights.
