Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications/Social Media Coordinator to lead social media strategy and public relations efforts for our agency clients. This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, a passion for storytelling, and a knack for building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets and influencers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media campaigns, managing our online reputation, and securing media coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Client/Industry Research: Research industry information and examples to generate compelling content ideas to boost brand awareness and build a strong, engaged online presence.
Social Media Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with client goals and objectives. Conduct in-depth research on target audiences, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy development.
Content Creation and Curation: Create engaging and shareable content, including text, images, and videos, that resonates with target audiences. Curate relevant third-party content to enhance the client’s online presence.
Community Management: Actively engage with followers and respond to comments and messages promptly and professionally. Foster a positive and engaging online community around the client’s brand.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key social media metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions) to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and provide insights to clients.
Platform Optimization: Stay updated on the latest features and best practices for major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn). Optimize client profiles and content to maximize visibility and engagement.
Brand Consistency: Ensure that social media content is consistent with the company and client’s overall brand identity and messaging. Work closely with other departments (e.g., client services, graphics) to coordinate social media efforts and align with broader company objectives.
Influencer Marketing: Identify and collaborate with influencers to promote the client or products through their social media channels.
Client Interaction and Communication: Serve as a point of contact for client communications, ensuring clear and timely communication on project updates, deliverables, and strategic recommendations.
Graphic Design for Social Graphics: Follow brand guidelines and templates to ensure consistency across graphics. Responsible for accurate spelling and grammar.
Video Production: Create and edit videos for social media platforms.
AI Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate knowledge and ability to utilize AI tools to enhance content creation efficiency and quality.
Collaboration: Work with teams from various departments to ensure alignment on shared goals and objectives. Maintain a positive attitude in the office and encourage an environment of collaboration.
Capturing Content: Work directly with clients to schedule content creation shoots, ensuring timing aligns with their availability and project needs. Travel to client locations as needed to capture high-quality photos and videos for social media platforms. Maintain clear communication throughout the process to ensure all content aligns with the client’s vision and brand objectives.
Quality Control: Responsible for accurate spelling and grammar on all social media platforms. Independent proofing before delivering to Account Managers is required.
Public Relations: Manage media relations and secure press coverage to increase client visibility. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address negative online sentiment and protect the client’s reputation.
Social Media Analytics: Track and analyze key social media metrics to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
Paid Social Advertising: Manage paid social media advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive engagement.
Influencer Marketing: Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers to promote the company’s brand and products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in social media management and public relations.
Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with social media analytics tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
