Description
We’re looking for a strategic, creative-minded marketer with a passion for sports to support the activation of our sponsorship portfolio.
As a contractor supporting our sponsorship marketing & advertising team, excellent strategic thinking, project management, and integrated marketing experience will be critical to success in the role.
Work You’ll Do
This role will support the sponsorship team, serving as support for designated activations and initiatives across our national sponsorships portfolio. Our portfolio includes Olympics/Paralympics, basketball, soccer, tennis, culinary, and golf sponsorships. This position will provide flexible support to the overall sponsorship portfolio based on needs and bandwidth across the calendar.
Cross-Sponsorship Activation Support & Planning:Lead and assist activations across the calendar, ranging from internal events to owned channel marketing activation to athlete assessments to external campaign planning. Work closely with other stakeholders internally to move from strategy to brief to production and measurement.
Presentation Development:Craft presentations to showcase sponsorship activation and impact across specific sponsorship programming and the overall portfolio throughout the year.
Status Calls Management: Manage agendas and notes for assigned status calls with the sponsorship team, internal stakeholders, and sponsorship properties.
Campaign & Sponsorship Assessment:Support campaign assessment and recapping – both qualitatively and quantitatively. Help refine sponsorship insights and measurement approach, while keeping a pulse on trends, competitive activation insights, and overall sports/sponsorship best practices.
Rights & Contract Management:Become an expert on contractual assets and help track use across the sponsorship portfolio.
General Support:Support overall sponsorship marketing activities, which may include newsletter development, internal communications, cross-sponsorship and sponsorship-specific concepting, ad hoc social post copywriting/planning, proofing, competitive analysis, presentation development, sweepstakes concepting and rules development, athlete negotiations, coordination of executive speaking engagements, ticket management, and other areas as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in sports or sponsorship marketing
Strong PowerPoint skills required
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; excellent attention to detail
Passion for sponsorship, brand and marketing disciplines, with strong writing and collaboration skills
Passion for sports and understanding of sports marketing
High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex threads of work; ability to work in a virtual environment
