Hiring: Market Manager – Mid-Atlantic (Wine & Spirits Industry)

An established and fast-growing premium spirits brand is seeking a Market Manager to drive sales and expand distribution in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is ideal for a sales professional with strong industry relationships and a passion for high-quality, award-winning spirits.

Job Overview

The Market Manager will be responsible for increasing brand visibility, strengthening key account relationships, and driving sales across Maryland, Washington DC, and Delaware. This position requires extensive in-market presence (80%+), working closely with distributors, on- and off-premise accounts, and key stakeholders to achieve sales objectives.

Responsibilities

Execute short- and long-term sales strategies to grow market share

Call on established key accounts and develop new ones to drive distribution and volume

Conduct staff trainings, ensure brand visibility, and manage ordering and programming

Work closely with distributor partners, including scheduling and leading sales team work-withs

Provide weekly reports, monthly calendars, and sales planners to the Regional Sales Manager

Track distributor performance, competitive activity, and market trends

Manage sales budgets, including T&E and A&P allocations

Qualifications

5+ years of sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry (wine/spirits preferred)

Strong key account relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region

BA degree or equivalent experience

Deep understanding of the beverage alcohol business, including distributor dynamics

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and influence key stakeholders

Base salary + 30% bonus
