Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Insights & Strategy, the Senior Manager will manage all research efforts in support of the Post Grocery business, including iconic cereal brands: including Honey Bunches of Oats®, PEBBLES®, Grape-Nuts®, Honeycomb®, Oreo Puffs®, Premier Protein® and Malt-O-Meal® cereal. This role will specifically support Better Oats® oatmeal, Peter Pan® peanut butter and natural & organic cereals.

This is an exciting time to be in consumer insights & strategy at Post Consumer Brands. You’ll have access to a wide variety of established research partners and foundational research AND have a hand in shaping best practices for the insights team. You’ll work with a talented team of researchers AND have a seat at the table with senior leaders who lean on you for marketing and business strategy.

Your primary responsibility will be partnering closely with a select group of iconic brands to drive brand and category growth strategies. You’ll provide strategic insights and counsel to senior leaders, ensuring consumer perspectives shape our decisions from identifying white space for a new innovation, to optimizing the next marketing campaign to determining a multi-year strategic plan.

Working cross-functionally, you’ll translate consumer needs into actionable insights that inform our product portfolio and innovation strategy. You will lead strategic market research initiatives, leveraging multiple data sources and internal/external partners to deliver insights that give PCB a competitive edge.

This role will require the high-level thinking of a seasoned thought leader, combined with attention to detail for key deliverables.

Primary Duties

Strategic Advisor: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, connecting consumer insights to business strategy. Influence cross-functional teams by bringing consumer-centric perspectives into critical decisions to inform innovation, renovation and marketing communications work.
Market Research Expert: Lead the end-to-end process of consumer research, including design, execution, analysis, and reporting. Expert in both quantitative (e.g., conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation, concept testing) and qualitative methods (e.g., focus groups, virtual interviews). Manage external partners and conduct research in-house as needed.
Driven Thought Leader: Have a strong sense of curiosity and desire to seek opportunities to self-educate on new methods. Help the business be forward-looking with an eye toward upcoming category trends and cutting-edge research methods.
Strong Communicator: Deliver clear, engaging, and impactful insights tailored effectively for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Adjust communication style appropriately based on audience seniority, fostering empathy and understanding across the organization.

Working Location: Hybrid

This role is located at the Lakeville, MN Corporate office

Typical hybrid schedule includes 3 days in-office with remote flexibility up to 2 days a week. #LI-hybrid

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related analytics and research roles.
Strong proficiency in qualitative and quantitative custom research methodologies (e.g., surveys, focus groups, segmentation, ethnographic studies).
Strong working knowledge of syndicated data, purchase data, and analytics tools (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, 84.51, Numerator).
Ability to champion consumer empathy and inspire curiosity, deepening organizational understanding of consumers and the competitive marketplace.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, capable of synthesizing complex data into compelling narratives that drive business actions.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, capable of linking consumer insights directly to strategic initiatives and broader business goals.
Strong cross-functional collaborator, with a proven ability to drive consumer-centric decisions across marketing, R&D, sales, and innovation teams without direct authority.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing direct reports or cross-functional project teams. Be able to coach others, mentor junior staff and set a clear vision
Action-oriented mindset, proactively identifying knowledge gaps, and initiating research to address them.
Global market research experience, including conducting research outside of the US, is preferred.
Ability to independently scope, manage, and execute research projects from inception to completion, including vendor selection, budget management, and timeline adherence.
Prior experience with natural & organic food brands is a plus.
