Job Summary
Currahee Group LLC, a leading manufacturer of folding cartons under the Pak-Pro and Spectrum Packaging Network brands serving the food service, personal care products, and healthcare supply industries, is seeking a dynamic Marketing Assistant to join our small but ambitious marketing team. The person in this role will play a pivotal part in driving our digital presence, crafting compelling content, and executing impactful industry events, while also supporting traditional marketing efforts. Based in North Georgia, the ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented multitasker with a passion for digital marketing and a knack for event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Content Creation (50%)
· Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across platforms including LinkedIn, Google Ads, and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) to promote folding carton solutions and enhance brand visibility.
· Create and manage content for the company website, blog, and social media channels, focusing on industry trends, product innovations, and customer success stories (e.g., sustainable packaging solutions for food service clients).
· Optimize content for SEO to increase organic traffic and generate leads within a 350-mile radius of Atlanta, targeting key industries.
· Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, providing monthly reports with actionable insights to improve ROI.
· Collaborate with graphic designers or use tools like Canva to produce visually engaging digital assets (e.g., infographics, social media posts).
Event Coordination & Industry Conferences (30%)
· Plan, coordinate, and execute participation in industry events, such as the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance expos, Paperboard Packaging Council and other national industry conferences, or regional trade shows, to showcase folding carton products and network with potential customers.
· Manage logistics for events, including booth setup, promotional materials (e.g., sample cartons, brochures), registration, and travel arrangements for staff.
· Develop pre- and post-event marketing content, such as email blasts, social media teasers, and follow-up campaigns to maximize lead generation.
· Represent the company at events, engaging with attendees, collecting leads, and distributing marketing collateral to prospective clients like food manufacturers or healthcare suppliers.
· Track event outcomes and ROI, contributing to strategies for future participation.
Traditional Marketing Support (20%)
· Assist in creating and updating traditional marketing materials, including brochures, product spec sheets, and sales presentations tailored to target industries (food service, personal care, healthcare).
· Support the Marketing Manager in maintaining customer databases and coordinating direct mail campaigns to regional clients.
· Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential customer needs within the folding carton sector, providing insights for sales pitches.
· Handle administrative tasks such as managing marketing budgets, processing invoices, and organizing promotional item inventory (e.g., branded pens, sample kits).
· Contribute to internal communications, such as newsletters or updates, to keep staff informed about marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
· Experience: 1-3 years of experience in marketing, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and content creation. Experience in event planning or coordination is highly desirable. Prior work in manufacturing or packaging industries is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media platforms, email marketing software).
Strong content creation skills, including writing, editing, and basic graphic design (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Excellent organizational skills with experience managing events or projects from start to finish.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics reporting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
Attributes: Creative thinker, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Willingness to travel regionally for events (up to 20% travel).
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and transport event materials (up to 25 lbs) and attend and staff a company booth for extended periods during trade shows or conferences.
