Marketing and Sponsorship Manager Jobs in Portland, ME at Camp Susan Curtis
About us
I am a therapist, parent coach and author specializing in supporting trans, nonbinary and gender-expansive kids and their parents. In addition to my clinical work in private practice, I am combating transphobia through storytelling.
I need a Marketing Assistant to support my media representation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact to my social justice goals by helping me grow my audience through local, regional, and national media opportunities.
As my Marketing Assistant, your main responsibilities will involve researching national, regional and local TV, Radio and print media. Determining a timeline for pitching and editorial content that aligns with my existing calendar of offers, events, and speaking engagements. Drafting pitches to primary contacts in each media sphere as identified through the research. Suggesting social media tie ins based on successful media opportunities by pulling audio and video clips, as well as images from appearances. Maintaining clear and comprehensive contact lists, calendars of pitches and corresponding responses.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with diverse communities, build relationships, and contribute to my overall mission of increasing visibility and understanding for gender-diverse kids and their families.
To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate should have proven success in a marketing role for a small business owner, preferably in the behavioral health, wellbeing, or social justice fields. Candidates will need to demonstrate their writing and communication strengths by providing a writing sample. Candidates will need to be exceptionally well-organized and detail-oriented. You will be responsible for generating leads to local, regional and national media (print, podcast, TV and radio), as well as using your PR skills to schedule appearances.
I am seeking individuals who have a deep understanding of marketing and public relations. A commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community is a must and prior experience supporting the community in a PR role will be prioritized.
If you are a proactive and creative thinker who meets deadlines with warmth and a genuine passion for supporting trans kids and their families, I want to hear from you. Trans, nonbinary, or gender-expansive candidates encouraged to apply. This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference. Apply now and join me in making a lasting impact during a critical political time.
