SUMMARY
Leads the new product development and commercialization of new products, manages full life cycle of the existing product portfolio with a focus on optimizing the company offerings and driving growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.
After training period is complete, the Sr Product Manager will lead the full life cycle of the product development process, including the organization of projects, and managing partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure that they keep to project deadlines, launch dates, etc. for all New Sunshine brands.
Responsible for keeping the Director of Marketing up to date with all project information for customer.
Provides strategic ways to expand the brand, while protecting customer inventory levels, and cost of goods, as assigned.
Partners with Marketing Manager to ensure best practices when working or communicating directly with customers (or the sales representative responsible for customers).
Partners with sales liaison to ensure communication of private label development status is clear and assures sales liaison obtains needed information to keep the private label process moving forward and stays on timelines, as needed.
Provides customer samples of all aspects of the product including container, cap, lotion, label, etc. Assures approval from customer before moving forward to purchase components.
Maintains various documents including the specification sheets, label updates, cost of goods, etc.
Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity, with assistance and direction from the Sr. Product Manager.
Works with the Sr. Product Manager in order to understand accurate forecasting for Private Label and how to utilize that forecast when partnering with a customer.
Adheres to the marketing operating budget.
Identifies and requests the production of promotional and collateral materials with assistance from the Sr. Product Manager, when required by customer.
Becomes familiar with product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to meet customer requirements and company margin requirements, and partners with Sr. Product Manager to make suggestions.
Stays abreast of market trends and works with Sr. Product Manager to adjust marketing strategy to meet trends.
Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners, as assigned by Sr. Product Manager.
Partners with Sr. Product Manager to create strategic brand management marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Assists with developing and execution of comprehensive marketing plans, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of customer, as needed.
Maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Thrives and quickly adapts in a fast-pace environment where customer requirements may frequently change.
Communicates essential information to the employees within the department and/or within the Company.
Works with confidential material daily and always maintains confidentiality.
Compiles and produces sales and marketing reports. Generates follow up reports from team meetings and special projects.
Assists in implementation of product testing procedures.
Coordinates marketing/branding functions such as trips, trade shows, council meetings, etc. Acts as a representative for The Company during events, as needed.
Coordinates information flow for Axapta, new item number assignment and discontinued items.
Generates and maintains spec sheets, bill of material, components, promotions, etc.
Travels, as needed.
Showcases strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, relationship building skills.
Develops a vast understanding of products and uses that knowledge to educate and train sales teams and customers.
This position is responsible for following all documented cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, and Policies designed to support the development, implementation, and control of the ISO 22716:2007 standard.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job will have one direct report.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; and at least 5 years of related experience and/or training.
Must be proficient is Microsoft Office Suite: word, excel, power point, outlook, adobe, etc.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
