We’re looking for a Sr. Marketing Automation Specialist with a proven track record of leveraging digital marketing to increase customer engagement/retention, improve organizational efficiency and meet and exceed performance KPIs. The Sr. Specialist will report to TEACH’s Sr. Director of CRM & User Engagement and will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy innovative nurture campaigns and marketing automation processes leveraging email and SMS. The Sr. Specialist will be responsible for supervising a team of junior staff members and executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of TEACH’s marketing automation tech stack and success measurement. The ideal candidate will have a track record of using analytical skills to build/design nurture campaigns that increase product/service adoption and conversion rates.

Job responsibilities

Manage TEACH’s email and SMS strategy and execution; including planning, executing, testing, and optimizing campaigns across all business verticals and segments
Play a pivotal role in shaping TEACH’s email and SMS strategy through active involvement in roadmapping and strategic prioritization discussions.
Design and build workflows/processes that facilitate the efficient/scalable execution of our day-to-day marketing campaigns, including quality assurance, stakeholder review/approvals, and performance tracking
Develop and manage an email and SMS campaign calendar to prevent overlap of campaigns, monitor send frequency for each target audience, and set expectations for stakeholders across teams
Delegate day-to-day marketing automation and email tasks to team members while providing guidance and support as needed
Manage marketing nurture campaigns; including nurture strategy, configuration, testing, and performance analysis for TEACH’s core products and services
Design and manage an A/B testing program based on the strategic priorities of the organization to analyze, and monitor email performance, and provide recommendations for enhancing effectiveness
Serve as the team’s marketing automation software admin, overseeing functional operations, including tool configuration, CRM integration and reporting
Manage our overall marketing automation tech stack; ensure it is optimized, well-maintained, and cost-effective
Work with our Product, Marketing, Programs and Regional Initiatives teams to design, implement, and maintain database segmentations that will allow us to accurately target specific audiences
Manage and, continuously improve, the organization’s data hygiene, list management and administration to ensure proper data quality and attribution
Utilize programming languages, such as SQL or AmpScript, for advanced personalization and data queries.
Lead end-to-end projects, including the development of project charters and devising project requirements.
Build strong relationships with campaign managers and other internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Expertise in email best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, and copy and design approaches
Expertise in lead scoring and nurture pathways
Ability to self-teach and proactively find solutions to technical problems independently
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with stakeholders across teams and organizations
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple campaign requests and meet milestones and deadlines
Strong analytical ability, and ability to think creatively to solve problems
Understanding of A/B testing methodologies, ability to draw conclusions from data and take action accordingly
Understanding of cold-email programs and an ability to generate ideas to support and maximize conversion
Strong communication skills; ability to translate technical information into easily digestible language and clearly explain design options and their potential impact
Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on platform performance and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
Demonstrated understanding of email best practices, opt-in rules and CAN-SPAM law
Demonstrated understanding of inbound marketing strategy and tactics
Working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and Ampscript (preferred)

Experience

Intermediate to Advanced experience with Enterprise-level marketing automation software, such as: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred), Pardot, Marketo, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Eloqua and/or Hubspot Marketing
3+ years of marketing automation operations experience (Certification Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Intermediate to advanced level experience in email and marketing automation strategy
Intermediate to advanced experience with data management and list hygiene
Intermediate experience with Salesforce CRM and managing integrations with third-party marketing automation platforms
Beginner to intermediate experience managing cold-outreach email programs
Beginner to intermediate experience with lead scoring strategy and implementation
Experience with programming languages, such as SQL or AmpScript.
Experience working with project management software, such as JIRA or Asana
Experience with SMS campaigns is a plus.
