SUMMARY
The Marketing Clerk is responsible for assisting with all aspects of events, community events, and public relations including social media coverage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Assist in preparation of all aspects of events, external and internal.
Attend events and arrange staffing of events.
Keep accurate inventory of supplies.
Order all supplies for the PR Manager, and marketing.
Arrange billing or timely payment in accordance with contract agreement and accurately (deposits, final payment, commissions, and accounts payable).
Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Ensure setup, operation and complete reporting on event system.
Assist in coordination of all company PR efforts including but not limited to press conferences, tribal events, political events property tours, press releases, chamber events, etc.
Order lighting and sound and all other equipment for events and concerts.
Process timely response of all donation/sponsorship requests and maintain accurate records.
Contribute to daily social media, to ensure positive promotion of the property.
Assist communication of events on and off property.
Must be knowledgeable with all services, products, promotions, and events offered on property.
Maintain relations with community organizations and be aware of community events in the companys markets.
Communicate changes of events company wide.
Assist in preparation of reports on events.
Assist with guest service of the front desk.
Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
All other departmental duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some college preferred.
Must have two (2) to four (4) years casino marketing experience or business clerical experience.
Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft Suite, social media sites and the internet.
Able to type 50-65 WPM
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be task orientated.
Must be available to work some nights and weekends.
Must have a valid California Driver License and be insurable through the casinos insurance carrier.
Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk and sit.
Repeatedly required to reach with hands and arms, use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
Environment is administrative setting with occasional visits to the casino floor and frequent visits event center before, during or after events
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Noise level is moderate to loud when on casino floor or events.
Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
REPORTS TO: Digital Marketing Supervisor
SUPERVISES: None
HOURS: The casino operates 24/7. Schedule, shift, and hours will vary.
SALARY: $15.00/hour / weekly pay / overtime eligible
