The Trophy Tour team aims to deliver the most engaging and innovative FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola by bringing the iconic trophies directly to the fans, partners and the communities around the world.
Reporting organisationally to the Commercial Operations Executive Director and working collaboratively with the global project team in Zurich, this role will support the implementation of one of the most exciting projects around the FIFA Club World Cup and the FIFA World Cupâ„¢.
The Trophy Tour manager will help serve promotion and engagement efforts of the Host Country / Host Cities and FIFA’s stakeholders for the first expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025â„¢ and the FIFA World Cup 26â„¢.
This role will be responsible for supporting the ongoing planning and execution of the Host Countries phase and coordinating the international involvement of the Host Country and Host City Stakeholders of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025â„¢ and FIFA World Cup 2026â„¢ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Trophy Tour Manager for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025â„¢ and the FIFA World Cup 2026â„¢ include:
Support and delivery the operational implementation of the FCWC Trophy Tour and the FWC Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola in the Host Countries and Host Cities
Support the FIFA Project Lead in overseeing all rights, obligations and requirements of all stakeholders involved in the FCWC Trophy Tour and the FWC Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola in the Host Countries and Host Cities; this includes the development and delivery of Host Country Trophy Tour Guidelines to the local stakeholders and the development of right packages made available to Sponsors, Media Rights Licensees (MRLs) and licensing partners
Lead in the management of relationships with all local key stakeholders by acting as a daily first point of contact for the Host Cities
Acquire knowledge of FIFA Commercial Partner rights and commitments as well as knowledge about previous FIFA Trophy Tours, the FIFA Trophies and their handling
Support relationship management with the local offices of the Commercial Partners, MRLs and agencies in relation to the FCWC Trophy Tour and the FWC Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola within the Host Countries
Support with the development and delivery of any FIFA strategic campaigns for marketing, communications, and content capture for the Tour.
Support the development of the scope, design and technical requirements for any infrastructure and branding used on-site
Support the overall project management of the Trophy Tours within the Host Countries together with the Trophy Tour Global Project Team based in Zurich
Ensure a proper monitoring of the progress of the project at a local level including planning and preparation of adequate management reporting
Support the implementation of a PR/communication strategy and a digital rights strategy for the Trophy Tours within the Host Countries together with the Trophy Tour Global Project Team based in Zurich
Support the organisation and delivery of project workshops, site inspections and meetings with all stakeholders
Support the Trophy Tours Global Project Team with regards to the development of changes in the project scope, helping with the management of potential crises and implementation of contingency plans
Oversee the approval of correct usage of the FIFA event marks in relation to the Trophy Tours within the Host Countries
Represent FIFA on each stop of the FIFA Club World Cup Trophy Tour in the US and all determined stops of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola in the respective Host Countries and cities of the second phase (US, CAN MEX)
Liaise with the local Volunteer Manager to ensure a seamless process of recruiting and managing the volunteer workforce that will support the Trophy Tours within the Host Countries
Support the international leg of the Trophy Tours if required, either in project planning or on-site delivery
Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices in marketing and promotions, integrating new approaches and technologies into strategies where appropriate.
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Marketing, etc.
Minimum of ~8 years of work experience in Marketing and Events or similar
Preferred previous experience in football and/or professional sports. Previous experience on Trophy Tours / Experiential Activations is of benefit
Knowledge of sports marketing, including sponsorship and brand communication
Ability to deliver integrated marketing communications and promotional platforms using a mixture of online and offline channels
Proven project management skills
Experience in navigating complex internal and external stakeholder relationships and managing these at a senior level
Fluent in English. Spanish proficiency is a plus
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
