POSITION SUMMARY:

The National Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the Director of Marketing with regional and local advertising and marketing throughout the country and across 160+ Designated Market Areas (DMA). Additionally, they will collaborate with Vice President Marketing and Vice President of National Programs on cross-marketing collaboration to develop holistic campaigns connecting national, regional, and local marketing with brand initiatives, brand standards, and special projects. This is a full-time, administrative level role, and is not visa eligible.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports both the Director of Marketing and fellow National Marketing Managers while overseeing asigned co-ops and DMAs.
Works with cross-functional teams for execution of strategic national marketing programs or partnerships laid out by Director of Marketing.
Maintains plans, timelines, and tracks performance metrics for multi-track projects and/or programs for regions and the brand, including but not limited to, the coordination of media buys with media agencies for co-ops.
Oversees coordination of all co-op creative needs including but not limited to, local store marketing, print, direct mail, outdoor, and digital media.
Drives store grand opening event planning, timelines, and assists store and field teams with local execution, where applicable.
Assists the operations field team to identify potential opportunities within stores’ four walls and within local communities to increase brand awareness and sales, while adhering to brand standards and guidelines and furthering the success of local store marketing.
Writes communications and rollout materials to inform internal teams and franchisees of marketing plans, campaign recaps, promotions and appropriate next steps or key learnings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Demonstrates clear and effective professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to present ideas and information clearly.
Strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines with little supervision.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to travel approximately 4 times per year (pending travel restrictions or concerns).
Customer Service and/or Client Relations experience.
Prior experience with local and regional marketing support and execution.
Prior experience in brand management.

Sound understanding of marketing principles and the creative process, as well as the latest technologies and how to apply them to an overall marketing plan.
Precision in grammar, spelling and syntax.
A strategic thinker able to understand big-picture objectives and lay out specific strategies and tactics in the pursuit of common goals.
Prior experience working within a franchise system or in the restaurant industry.
Prior experience and knowledge with media planning and buying.
Ability to analyze and read large amounts of data and extrapolate key learnings.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, alternating between standing and sitting; working at a desk/looking at a computer screen; driving, and speaking. Cognitive requirements include but are not limited to executing tasks independently, learning and memorizing tasks, and having the ability to maintain focus or concentration.
