Position Summary
The main responsibility of this role is to support the real estate department and enhance the marketing efforts of its agents in promoting property listings. Key duties include creating and maintaining marketing materials, managing mailing lists, coordinating property promotions, and overseeing digital marketing campaigns. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports, ensuring clear communication with real estate agents and the Garden City Realty staff, and effectively resolving any issues that may arise.
Moreover, as the Marketing Communications Coordinator, you will lead the in-house marketing team. In this leadership role, you will organize, guide, and plan for the team while also facilitating the resolution of any conflicts that may emerge in a collaborative environment. You will provide direction and guidance to the team in order to achieve organizational goals.
Key Marketing Communications Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Work with sales agents and the marketing team to develop targeted marketing strategies while overseeing the production of campaigns, materials, and advertisements.
Social Media: Manage the agents’ social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, using management tools to enhance engagement.
Email Marketing: Prepare e-blasts and e-news campaigns, and maintain the marketing image library, for real estate agents and the sales department.
Deliverables: Work with the marketing team to develop marketing materials for the real estate agents.
Events: Participate in sales-related events both at the office and off-site.
Collateral: Regularly update and refresh all sales collateral to ensure a customer-centric approach.
Presentations: Assist in preparing listing presentations and input data into the CMS system. Coordinate the CMS program and generate monthly reports as needed.
Inventory: Keep general files organized and review MLS listings to ensure deliverables reflect the latest price changes and statuses while adhering to MLS operational procedures.
Branding: Streamline company materials and campaigns to deliver a consistent and clear message across all platforms.
Mailing Lists: Support the management of real estate mailing lists to ensure effective delivery, foster connections, keep subscribers informed, and reduce unnecessary spending.
Real Estate Trends: Stay updated on current trends in real estate advertising, market conditions, and inventory levels to inform strategic planning.
Reporting: Develop, implement, and track various marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, social media efforts, digital campaigns, and provide reports to senior staff.
Meetings: Attend regular sales and marketing meetings and schedule one-on-one meetings with real estate agents as needed.
Key Team Leader Responsibilities:
Clearly communicate management’s goals to the team in a way that motivates them to do great work.
Set objectives for team members and encourage them to reach their targets.
Encourage team members to do their best work consistently.
Identify team members’ strengths and weaknesses, guiding them to focus on their strengths and improve in other areas.
Assign tasks based on each team member’s strengths and weaknesses, ensuring the right people handle the right jobs.
Help team members prioritize and reorganize their tasks, especially when they feel overwhelmed.
Provide ongoing training and education to help team members improve their skills.
Mentor team members to help them grow and advance in their careers.
Create a positive office environment, build trust, and suggest improvements to management when morale dips.
Represent team members’ concerns to management, whether they are doing well or struggling, to promote understanding and respect.
Advocate for team needs to supervisors, like requests for more work flexibility, and present these clearly to management.
Listen actively to team members and work together to solve workplace issues.
Manage resources wisely to reduce waste while making sure everyone has what they need to do their jobs.
Qualifications:
Experience in real estate marketing is preferred; having a real estate license is a plus.
Relevant work experience in marketing, communications, or real estate is required.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is necessary.
Experience working in a CRM is preferred.
Intermediate graphic design experience is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, project management, organizational, and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is required.
Knowledge of Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is required.
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is necessary.
Experience working with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) is essential.
A strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems using data-driven approaches.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
The typical workweek for this full-time position is Monday through Friday. However, the successful applicant must be available to work Saturday and/or Sunday if necessary.
