Overview
We seek a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and execute strategic marketing and communication initiatives for the team and our clients. lead our marketing efforts and enhance our brand presence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in marketing strategy, digital marketing, campaign management, performance tracking, brand management, client communication, proposal coordination, and technical writing.
Key Responsibilities
Branding and Business Development:
Create and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance the firm’s brand, working visibility, strengthen its market position, and align with its overall goals and objectives
Develop and implement marketing strategies, marketing mix, and plans to achieve company and client objectives
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and target audience identification.
Assess trends within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry and industry-leading strategies to uncover growth opportunities and implement integrated marketing campaigns that effectively engage the target audience.
Brand Management
Direct the development and maintenance of the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms, materials, and assets.
Oversee the management and updates of the company’s website, digital media, streaming media, social media channels, and other digital media
Develop, organize, and maintain digital assets, databases, and content libraries.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Oversee the execution of multi-channel campaigns (digital, social media, email, etc.)
Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and provide actionable insights.
Prepare reports for clients, highlighting achievements, areas for optimization, and economic development impact and outcomes.
Develop, implement, and manage policies, programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent mission alignment and goal attainment.
Ensure high service levels of project-specific performance.
Ensure campaigns are on-brand and aligned with client goals.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Manage and develop a team of experienced and dedicated marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Support the marketing/communications team in the development and execution of strategies, plans, and project management.
Manage and oversee the team’s project performance and adherence to Project Management Plans, contractual commitments, and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure efficient workflow, communication, meeting deadlines, and critical project milestones.
Employ a performance management approach that defines goals, tracks progress, and delivers timely feedback and course correction, boosting employee, departmental, and organizational performance.
Budget Management:
Monitor team workload and ensure all projects stay within scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining quality standards.
Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Strategically allocate marketing budgets to optimize impact and return on investment.
Track progress, identify potential risks, and adjust resources or timelines as needed.
Client & Resource Management:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective prioritization and resource allocation.
Monitor team workload and ensure all projects stay within scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining quality standards.
Track progress, manage risks, and resolve potential obstacles to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of marketing initiatives.
Track progress, identify potential risks, and adjust resources or timelines as needed.
Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Maintain strong client relationships through clear and proactive communication.
Provide timely updates on project progress and performance
Content Creation
Manage the production of high-quality content, including social media content, videos, photography, emails, illustrations, and other marketing materials.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content that positions the firm as an industry leader.
Support the design and development of procurement and solicitation material, such as proposals, capability statements, resumes, training presentations, etc.
Conduct interviews, audience research, and surveys for marketing content.
Stay updated on the latest marketing trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring strategies remain innovative and competitive
Continuously optimize strategies based on developments within the A/E/C Industry
Requirements
Proven experience in marketing communications or a related field.
Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and digital advertising strategies.
Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to produce engaging content for diverse audiences.
Experience in social media marketing with a track record of successful campaigns.
Familiarity with product management processes is a plus.
Strong research skills to support data-driven decision-making.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field or 6 years of experience.
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in addition to education strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint.
Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, social media management, CRM, email marketing, etc.)
Proficiency in technical and digital marketing fundamentals, communications, and design.
Experience with team building, collaborating, and team development
Experience utilizing cloud-based design, marketing, and communication tools, including, but not limited to, visual content-creating software, AI marketing tools, email marketing platforms, event management platforms, virtual business cards, online form builder platforms, etc.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to lift to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
Flexibility to travel locally and occasionally work evenings and/or weekends.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
