Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in graphic design or related discipline. Related experience may substitute for required education.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

The department is especially interested in candidates who have experience working collaboratively in an academic setting with marketing and communications responsibilities and candidates with experience in designing 24+ page publications.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

Will require work beyond normal schedule including some evening and weekend hours due to deadline driven needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, similar graphic design programs and Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to translate communications strategies into engaging, authentic and effective creative work.
Understanding of marketing in print, electronic and online media and how each differs in execution.
Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment with emphasis on collaboration and partnerships.
Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in longform print publications, brand architecture and graphic design.
Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance as directed to ensure tasks are completed timely.

Develops printed and digital publications, ad campaigns and all marketing materials. Manages overall conceptual design and visual style from inception to completion. Ensures visual consistency on all materials utilizing University brand standards.

Collaborates with marketing and communications teams and internal and external partners to develop creative strategies and concepts. Creates intuitive and engaging marketing campaigns across multiple projects and platforms.

Coordinates production of marketing projects by working with outside vendors, the University Marketing and Communications team and University partners. Provides cost estimations and serves as a strategic liaison to ensure quality and adherence to the University’s brand standards.

Partners with creative team leadership to provide art direction and supports the team in developing their own design skills by sharing knowledge and strategizing best practices with the staff.
