The Saphire Event Group, with four boutique event venues in the South Shore, is expanding and looking for a creative and organized Social Media Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a very high level of knowledge in all social media platforms, great writing skills, and has a good eye for creativity.

Marketing Content Creator

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating engaging content to grab the attention of couples looking for their perfect wedding venue. Through amazing photos, creative social media posts, interesting and helpful blog articles, and consistent and effective written and visual advertising, the Social Media Specialist is the storyteller of the most important day of our couple’s lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Works with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager to develop marketing and advertising campaigns, including ads for social media, local media advertisements, and any other avenues to make SEG services known.

· Knowledgeable in all social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.

· Creating innovative content based on wedding and social media trends, engagement campaigns, and content calendars for all platforms including but not limited to 2-3 blogs per month, weekly Instagram Reels/TikToks, and daily social media posts and stories.

· Content calendar to be created at least one month in advance at all times.

· Creation and submission of “Real Weddings” to various publications.

· Compiles photos, stories, information, etc., for all mediums.

· Works with vendors to obtain photos and approvals.

· Executes photo shoots, marketing events, tastings, etc.

· Works with the SEO consultant and Graphic Designer to ensure all content and photos are current and the website is optimized.

· Coordinates with PR company, Graphic Designer, Printer, and SEO Consultant on all marketing campaigns.Measures ad effectiveness and conversions and optimizes as needed.

· Creates monthly and quarterly reports of social media statistics to measure effectiveness

· Works with the Sales department to develop new sales funnels, ad campaigns, and promotions.

· Discovers new opportunities for SEG to participate in local community activities, events, fundraisers, etc., to promote SEG products.

· Updates and maintains photo library in digital asset manager.

· Discovers new partnership opportunities for marketing SEG across social media channels.

· Creates and publishes quarterly newsletter and e-blast to company.

· Participates in educational opportunities and attends networking events.

· Knowledgeable of venue competition and their social media presence, website, package, etc.

· Interacts positively and exudes professional behavior and communications with employees, clients, and vendors to foster and support kindness in the workplace.

· Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing SEG policies, protocols, and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned

· The schedule may consist of some evenings and weekends

· Required to take live footage of events as needed

· Travel to all venues required

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications from a four-year college or university; or four[KO1] two years of related experience. and/or training.

· Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CMS, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud programs including Photoshop and InDesign.

·

· Good knowledge of all social media mediums.

· Extremely pPassionate for events and weddings.

· Must be energetic and confident.

· Is self-motivated

· Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

· Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

· Detail, yet deadline oriented.

· Excellent copywriting and creative writing skills.

· Ability to create unique, engaging, and effective content across mediums.

· Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.

Experience with graphic design, photography and video editing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
