Overview:
The Vice President of Sales for Coastal Cocktails will lead the company’s sales efforts, ensuring the development and execution of strategies to drive revenue growth, increase market penetration, and build strong customer relationships. This role will oversee all sales functions, including management of the sales team, distributor partnerships, and customer accounts. The VP of Sales will work closely with marketing and production to align efforts with the brand’s strategic vision and operational capabilities.

Sales & Marketing Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to achieve company revenue goals.
Identify and prioritize key growth markets and customer segments for Coastal Cocktails’ product lines.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies proactively.
Collaborate with marketing to execute promotional campaigns, trade shows, and brand-building initiatives.
Monitor plan to performance and develop contingency and gap closing alternatives as needed.
Team Leadership
Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team, including regional sales directors and account managers.
Set clear objectives, performance metrics, and sales targets for the team.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture that aligns with the company’s mission and values.
Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure the team achieves its full potential of “best in class” sales team.
Distributor & Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and on-premise accounts to optimize product placement and sales.
Negotiate and manage contracts with distributors and where applicable key accounts, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Lead efforts to expand the company’s distribution network, both regionally and nationally.
Drive Distributor performance to plan, proactively identifying gaps and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Set and develop materials for Distributor Business Review Meetings – lead discussions and ensure follow-up as needed.
Reporting & Analysis
Oversee sales performance reporting, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Prepare and present regular updates to the CEO and leadership team on sales progress, market trends, and opportunities.
Utilize data-driven insights to continuously refine sales tactics and resource allocation.
Work with Finance to review pricing strategies to ensure optimal ROI on investment spend.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with the production team to ensure alignment between sales forecasts and manufacturing capabilities.
Manages new product introductions to ensure on target shipments and depletions. Actively coordinates with Trade Marketing to optimize programs for successful in market launch plans.
Ensures the effective implementation of Trade Marketing programs through effective use of the sales teams to drive profitable growth.
Work closely with finance to develop and manage sales budgets, including revenue projections and expense control.
Qualifications:

Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Experience 10+ years of sales experience, including leadership roles in the alcohol, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
Skill Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing multi-regional sales operations.
Skill Experience working with distributors and national retail accounts.
Skill Strong leadership skills with a history of building and managing high-performing teams.
Skill Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Skill Proficiency in sales reporting and CRM tools.
Skill Willingness to travel as needed to support sales efforts.
