Position Title: Associate Account Manager

The Associate Account Manager is a professional marketer who excels at building trust and rapport with clients and enjoys working with multiple brands. This role leads the client agency relationship and is responsible for client retention and growth which is pivotal to the agency’s growth and success.

The Account Manager ensures that strategies and deliverables align to client goals, reflect brand standards and priorities, speak to the target audience, deliver on the client expectations, and are cohesive across consumer touchpoints. They pursue ways to strengthen the impact of our work for the client and sell new or expanded services. They are a master at building relationships with clients at various levels, as well as helping to define strategies and lead tactical executions. The Associate. Account Manager works directly with both our internal team and external client teams.

Qualifications

1-3 years of marketing experience, agency experience preferred
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field
Experience with inbound and outbound marketing tactics, as well as digital marketing channels — particularly search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing, content marketing, social media, email, and websites
Familiar working in Google Analytics, Email Service Providers such as Klaviyo, CRM / Marketing Automation Platforms such as HubSpot, Google Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager
A technical aptitude to confidently engage in conversations related to marketing and development projects.
Experience working in and managing a Project Management system
Familiar with customer journey mapping, funnel mapping, and persona development
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze and inform on marketing data and make recommendations
Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously while working against tight deadlines
Proficient in writing clear, concise, detailed briefs. Extreme attention to detail
Proven experience working with multiple client personalities and communicating timely and effectively
A desire to work both at a strategic level and tactically on projects and campaigns
Excellent decision-making skills
Self-motivated and results driven

Responsibilities:

Technical Proficiency:

Identifies potential opportunities to expand client engagements based on technical capabilities
Effectively translates technical concepts into business value during client conversations
Understands how different service lines complement each other to drive client success
Recognizes when technical challenges might impact client satisfaction and engages appropriate resources
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of platform features that could benefit existing clients

Communication and Collaboration

Adjusts communication style to suit the audience (clients, stakeholders, or team members).
Facilitates effective client meetings, summarizing goals, updates, and next steps.
Encourages open dialogue among team members to solve project challenges collaboratively.
Translates client feedback into actionable tasks for internal teams.
Ensures alignment between client expectations and team deliverables through consistent communication.

Client Relationship Management

Develops a deeper understanding of the client’s goals, challenges, and market trends.
Proactively provides strategic recommendations to enhance client performance and outcomes.
Presents results and insights to clients, linking performance to their business objectives.
Identifies growth opportunities, such as expanding campaign budgets, introducing new services, or upselling add-ons.
Negotiates adjustments to contracts or service scopes to align with the client’s evolving needs.

Strategic Thinking and Oversight

Analyzes campaign data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
Contributes to the development of strategic plans that align with client goals and industry trends.
Anticipates potential risks or challenges in campaigns and recommends actionable solutions.
Ensures all project deliverables align with broader client strategies and objectives.
Collaborates with internal teams to refine strategies based on performance results and client feedback.

Project and Time Management

Independently develops and maintains detailed project timelines for campaigns and client deliverables.
Coordinates resources effectively to balance multiple projects or accounts.
Proactively identifies potential risks to timelines or budgets and implements mitigation strategies.
Adjusts priorities dynamically to accommodate changing client needs or project requirements.
Communicates status updates, milestones, and challenges clearly to both clients and internal teams.
