To expand our impact and reach a broader audience, we are seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Specialist to help manage and enhance our digital presence across various platforms.
Position Overview
The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in creating, curating, and managing content to elevate our brand and increase community engagement. This volunteer position is ideal for someone with a strong passion for social media, storytelling, and digital marketing, who wants to use their skills to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
Develop engaging social media content (graphics, videos, captions, reels, stories, etc.) for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X.
Create posts that promote our programs, success stories, community events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising efforts.
Ensure a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital platforms.
Community Engagement & Growth
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions to foster engagement and build relationships with our online community.
Grow our following by promoting partnerships, collaborations, and awareness campaigns.
Strategy & Analytics
Develop a content calendar to schedule posts consistently and ensure timely updates.
Track social media analytics to assess engagement and adjust strategies for better performance.
Suggest new ideas and creative approaches to enhance our social media presence.
Qualifications & Skills
Passion for mental health advocacy, youth empowerment, and nonprofit work.
Experience managing or creating content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X.
Strong writing and storytelling skills to craft compelling posts.
Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design platforms (preferred but not required).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Creativity and a proactive approach to social media trends.
