Job Summary:
The Performance Marketing & Logistics coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and media initiatives that promote and enhance events and performances at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels within Mesa Public Schools. This role actively engages the community by showcasing students, coaches, and school programs while also managing athletic transportation logistics to ensure smooth travel coordination for events.
Candidates must complete an on-line application which requires appropriate Arizona certification, valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card, evidence of highly qualified status, three letters of recommendation, and transcript of credits.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and distribute media content highlighting positive stories, students, staff, and beyond-the-bell programing across Mesa Public Schools.
Create media packages to showcase and promote the use of district facilities, including video tours, photography, and promotional materials.
Organize free use events for the community to experience facilities like pickleball courts, community health events on tracks or weight rooms, projects and services through CTE, etc.
Conduct one-on-one monthly interviews with employees to highlight their programs, philosophies, and impact within Mesa Public Schools.
Manage and update social media platforms to actively engage students, parents, and the broader community with compelling school events.
Collaborate with school administrators and staff to identify compelling stories and promote achievements across various media channels.
Coordinate press releases and digital media to highlight major events, milestones, and initiatives.
Assist coaches and athletic departments at junior high and high school sites to ensure all travel-related documents are properly submitted, verified, and approved.
Oversee transportation logistics for athletic teams, ensuring proper scheduling, compliance, and coordination with travel providers.
Ensure adherence to district policies and procedures for athletic travel, working closely with school administrators and transportation departments.
Support event planning efforts by coordinating logistics for double headers, tournaments, playoff games, and other district-wide athletic events.
Attend events to provide media coverage and logistical support as needed.
Maintain relationships with local media outlets to enhance visibility and coverage of Mesa Public Schools athletics.
Provide guidance and training to school personnel on best practices for promoting their programs.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Athletics Director.
Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools.
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. Verification of these required qualifications is necessary.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
Experience:
Experience in creating media content, including videos, photography, and promotional materials, to highlight school events, student-athletes, and community programs. Experience with digital content creation tools (e.g., video editing software, graphic design tools) is preferred.
Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), including creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance metrics. Demonstrated ability to grow and engage an online community.
Proven experience assisting with student-athlete travel logistics, including scheduling, coordinating transportation, and ensuring compliance with district travel policies. Ability to manage multiple travel-related tasks efficiently and communicate effectively with coaches, administrators, and travel providers.
Experience developing and executing community engagement strategies through video and social media campaigns to promote events, showcase student achievements, and build a positive relationship between the school district and the local community.

It is preferred that the applicant possess the following preferred qualifications; however, the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.
Education:
Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
Experience:
Experience in promotional media, public relations, or digital content creation.
Strong knowledge of social media management, video editing, and graphic design tools.
Familiarity with high school and junior high extracurricular programs and their logistical needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for coordinating travel and media initiatives.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work with coaches, administrators, and media professionals.
