This is FT External Marketing position!
Position Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing a network of repeat referrals with sources within an assigned territory. Referral sources will include physicians, nursing homes, assisted living communities, hospitals, and other prospects and accounts as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:
Must follow Brookhaven Policy and Procedures.
Must be able to find the appropriate balance between sales, marketing, and customer service activities.
Maintain core knowledge of our clinical services provided, healthcare industry, and local market conditions.
Must be able to handle complexity and change in marketing/sales strategy if the market demands a shift.
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all internal team members and disciplines.
Sales Expectations:
Provide clinical communication through various tools to physicians, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Prepare and maintain referral target list.
Meet or exceed set number of sales calls and events to achieve census goals.
Meet or exceed set number of referral goals for each HCF business entity represented.
Pre-call planning, outcomes and next steps needed to achieve desired outcome of all sales calls.
Effectively communicate core selling message to identified referral targets.
Communicate regularly with Regional Director of Business Development and area Administrators.
Marketing Expectations:
Prepare, maintain, and execute marketing plans.
Manage marketing budget and Return on Investment on all marketing related expenses.
Coordinates and implements events, media, networking activities and promotional programs.
Understand market conditions and opportunities to grow census and revenue.
Profile the strengths and weaknesses of competitors within the assigned territory.
Communicates and works with Regional Director of Business Development on all marketing campaigns to maximize the overall Return of Investment.
Coordinate all social media campaigns to align with overall marketing strategy.
Customer Service Expectations
Identify opportunities to enhance customer service and patient /family satisfaction.
Communicate with admission team on leads and potential admissions/starts of care.
Enhance the care continuum through streamlining the admission and discharge process.
Maintains required reports.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Maintains all Brookhaven equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related healthcare experience.
Previous sales experience is preferred, with evidence of a successful track record.
Familiar with general healthcare concepts and terminology. Knowledge and experience with skilled nursing, long-term care, and home health care is strongly preferred.
Must have critical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide coordination of patient care, consistent with standards and regulations.
Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving ability and have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
Competencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Competencies in usage of healthcare software programs, and office equipment including copy and fax machines, phones, and computers.
