Tangram Flex is seeking a Marketing Manager with 5 + years of experience in software marketing strategy and the DoD mission system marketplace to join our team and drive the development and execution of brand messaging and marketing strategies for Tangram Flex’s innovative engineering services and software solutions that enable engineers to quickly and securely design, develop, verify, and advance complex critical systems. A secret clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance is required.

POSITION DESCRIPTION /

In this role, the Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of forward-thinking campaigns for branding, product marketing strategy and product launches, ensuring Tangram’s products are positioned to meet market demands. Manager will work closely with the growth, engineering, and product teams to identify ways to extend brand awareness of the Company and accelerate sales of its component software integration platform, Tangram Proâ„¢. Developing a marketing strategy in support of the company’s growth objectives and lead the implementation of the strategy to position and sell products in new markets. This includes creating content to aid in the Company’s marketing campaigns while working collaboratively supporting product management, communications, growth and business development and various external stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES /

Primary Responsibilities:

Utilize deep understanding of the DoD domain and marketplace – including software integration and validation needs, pain points, and requirements – to develop compelling and consistent marketing content and messaging that communicates Tangram’s value propositions, differentiators and benefits across target markets including DoD and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) partner end users and decision makers.
Understand the user and customer journeys to craft personas, use cases and narratives that resonate with engineers, developers, and technical buyers as well as executive leadership in target audiences,
Collaborate with product, engineering and growth teams to understand product features, capabilities, and roadmaps to define, conceptualize, create, and deliver content related to value propositions, competitive differentiators, and focused sales materials.
Ensure Tangram growth and sales teams have the necessary marketing resources and tools needed to successfully implement the Company’s capture and growth strategy and close deals
Coordinate and execute Tangram’s presence at relevant events (ie. trade shows, industry days, conferences, webinars). This may include registration, space planning, coordinating delivery and installation of booth materials, attendance at events, etc.
Plan and execute web, SEO, database marketing, email, and social media marketing campaigns.
Create, execute, and manage complex marketing campaign strategies across multiple channels – from experiments to conversion tests through execution.
Track and measure the success of Tangram’s marketing campaigns and strategies through analyzing key performance metrics and measuring return on investment.
Conduct market research and analyze market data to identify trends, target customer needs, and competitive insights to refine production positioning and support more effective and targeted marketing channel engagement.
Support the Company’s coordination with creative teams (internal and external) to generate campaign ideas, designs, materials and copy.
Create and oversee the production and publishing of marketing materials including product briefs, case studies, whitepapers, presentations, blog posts and press releases.
Support and maintain marketing technology, including email, CRM, and CMS tools.
Support the on-going design, evolution, and maintenance the Company’s social media presence
Engage with the growth and sales team to support the identification of critical conversion points and drop off points and develop communication plans, battle cards, and objection-handling content to optimize these opportunities and expand target customer funnels.
Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE /

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related industry field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software product marketing or related roles.
Possess ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Demonstrated experience in Marketing within or to the Department of Defense or other government/defense organizations is imperative.
Demonstrated understanding of technical products, particularly mission systems integration software or tools used by engineers and developers.
Demonstrated experience in crafting go-to-market strategies and launching products in the software or hardware space.
Exceptional written, verbal, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts. Examples of prior work products may be requested.
Basic knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience using and administering Zoho Marketing Automation tool.
Experience with basic mark-up languages (HTML and CSS) and website content management software (CMS).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, GSuite, Adobe Creative Suite, and customer relationship management tools.
Proficiency and certification for website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Webflow, etc.).
Professional marketing credentials (example: Professional Certified Marketer).
Advanced understanding of data analytics and data-driven marketing decision making frameworks.
