Position Overview

NIF seeks a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for its various programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to promote one of the leading flamenco organizations in the U.S. while gaining hands-on experience in arts marketing, community engagement, and digital content creation. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Marketing & Communications Director and collaborate with various departments, including Programs, Development, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Campaigns

Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to achieve revenue goals for key programs, including Festival Flamenco Alburquerque, Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque at Hotel Albuquerque, El Farol Santa Fe, Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company, Conservatory of Flamenco Arts, and Flamenco in Your Neighborhood, as well as other Community Arts Engagement Programs.
Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop an annual marketing calendar and strategic engagement plans for all earned revenue programs.

Digital Marketing

Create, maintain, and update content across NIF’s digital platforms (website, social media, etc.).
Assist with the development of social media content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media platforms.
Monitor social media channels, engaging with followers and responding to inquiries.

Email Marketing

Assist in creating email campaigns (newsletters, event reminders, etc.) using platforms like Klaviyo.
Segment email lists, ensuring proper audience targeting and maintenance of contacts.
Monitor campaign performances.

Event Promotion & Ticket Sales

Support marketing efforts for events creating promotional materials and managing online ticketing platforms.

Market Research & Audience Engagement

Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and marketing strategies.
Analyze audience demographics to tailor marketing initiatives and build relationships with local and national influencers, partners, and community organizations.

Media Relations & Press Outreach

Assist in developing and executing media outreach strategies to secure press coverage for NIF’s events and programs.
Help build and maintain relationships with local and national media.
Assist in writing and distribute press releases, media advisories, and press kits.
Pitch story ideas and coordinate media interviews.

Advertising & Media Outreach

Support the execution of paid media campaigns (Google Ads, social media ads, printed ads, etc.)
Track paid media performance and provide insights for campaign optimization.

Administrative Support

Assist with preparing marketing reports and presentations.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure cohesive marketing efforts and provide general administrative support.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Arts Administration, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the arts, culture, or nonprofit sectors.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Expertise in social media marketing, CMS (Squarespace/WordPress), and digital content creation tools (Photoshop, Canva, video editing software).

A strong appreciation for, and preferably a deep knowledge of, flamenco or other dance and music art forms.
Ideally bilingual (Spanish-English)
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo) and analytics tools.
Knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, Facebook Ads.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle insured for business use, and a clean driving record.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background checks, driving record verification, and employment history screenings.

Salary and Schedule

Starting salary: $47,840-$52,000 per year, based on experience.
40 hours per week, with a regular schedule of Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at the NIF offices (1771 Bellamah Ave NW, Suite A, Albuquerque NM, 87104)
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required around NIF-produced performances and events.

Pay: $47,840.00 – $52,000.00 per year
