LOCATION: Hanover, MD office (not a remote or hybrid position)
BASE SALARY RANGE: $46,000 – $55,000 depending on experience

About The Role
GEBA is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Programs Marketing Specialist to support the implementation and marketing of all member programs– related to direct and digital marketing, communications, and occasional online and in-person events in the Baltimore/DC metro area.
This position will also assist with marketing & communications-focused member outreach and engagement, customer service and sales, and product and services promotion. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, organizational, and project management skills, along with a minimum of two years professional experience in marketing and/or communications role.
Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications (65%)
Support the Director in executing marketing and communication strategies, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and business development initiatives.
Write, edit, and proofread content for various communications, including email campaigns, website content, quarterly newsletters, seminars/webinars promotion and presentation content, brochures, and social media posts.
Implement marketing and communication campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, website, and print on schedule and on deadline.
Implement systematic member communication efforts to enhance new member onboarding.
Update and manage website content using website content management system.
Maintain brand consistency across all communication platforms and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Event & Program Support (20%)
Manage promotional items, including inventory, ordering, and distribution.
Manage promotional collateral material.
Support the planning, marketing, and execution of online and in-person events, including webinars and promotional tables. Ensure smooth execution of logistics, materials, and follow-up communications.
Assist with the promotion of and execution of GEBA’s Scholarship program and the Member Educational Award Program (MEAP).
Support the Director in sustaining partnerships with insurance provider companies including product messaging and regulatory compliance.
Administrative & Collaboration (15%)
Work closely with the Director, as well as internal teams and external partners, to assist in the effective and timely execution of all department duties.
Stay up to date with marketing trends, emerging marketing technologies, and best practices.
Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or digital media.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and email marketing tools.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
A self-starter, with a creative mindset with a willingness to explore innovative marketing strategies and to pursue professional development
Positive and professional demeanor with both internal and external customers.
Embraces GEBA’s values and workplace culture and works collaboratively with teammates to ensure team-wide success.
Desired
Experience in not-for-profit, membership associations, or insurance or financial services.
Experience with graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and website management platforms (WordPress/Elementor).
