Work Location: This position will be based at our Sedalia, MO location
Hours: April – August – 40 hours per week.
Job Purpose: Support position responsible for various ongoing events and conventions within the Marketing Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the coordination, planning, setup and completion of marketing events throughout the internship time period, such as customer appreciations, tailgates, sponsorships, parades & trade shows.
Actively promote the event through social media channels using reels and photos to encourage attendance and participation.
Ensure proper planning and organization of travel logistics, transportation, and other necessary
arrangements.
Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while representing the company during travel and outside of standard working hours.
Adapt to changing travel and scheduling needs while ensuring efficient time management and meeting deadlines.
Be available to work during evenings, weekends, and other non-business hours as required for event participation.
Summarize and document event participation to keep records for the following year.
Communicate with Marketing Specialist to keep updated inventory records and systems regularly.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a degree in marketing, agriculture communications or closely related field. Thorough knowledge and understanding of agriculture preferred.
Excellent creative skills required for promotional concepts and overall bank marketing.
Demonstrated experience in social media marketing and event planning.
Knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications & tools. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a fast-paced marketing team a must.
Marketing Department Collaboration:
Collaborate with team members to accomplish marketing objectives. Support the implementation of marketing strategies and initiatives. Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes.
Actively participate in marketing meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Share creative and innovative ideas to enhance marketing strategies and practices.
Demonstrate the willingness to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate event schedules and customer interactions.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a typical bank office setting. Certain bank related security protocols will apply.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and printers.
Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
Bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
