Girls on the Run of Nebraska is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young girls across the state with after-school programming that promotes joy, health, and confidence. Our innovative curriculum combines running with life skills, fostering a supportive community for girls to thrive.
Summary
We seek a dynamic Council Director to lead our organization in Lincoln, NE. The Council Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing program management, finances, 5K implementation and fundraising to ensure the successful delivery of our mission to inspire young girls through physical activity and personal development. This is a 10-month position that is focused during the school year (Aug. 1 to June 1). There is potential for a Hybrid Schedule after training.
Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and 5Ks.
Manage staff and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery and community engagement.
Cultivate relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors to enhance program reach.
Lead strategic planning efforts to expand organizational impact and visibility.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices in nonprofit management.
Requirements
BA or BS degree
Experience in program coordination
Outstanding communication skills to build relationships with multiple audiences
Ability to multitask, prioritize and make efficient decisions
Flexible and adaptable
Experience with CRM
Experience in event planning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Girls on the Run (or other similar youth-development or wellness programs)
Non-profit administrative experience
Fundraising experience
Experience working with a Board of Directors
