Mr. Cooper is looking for a Principal, SMS and Chat Marketing to join our Marketing Team. The Principal, SMS and Chat Marketing reports directly to the VP of Marketing and will be responsible for the online chat and SMS channels for portfolio retention. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of marketing expertise, CRM, business ownership, marketing operations acumen, leadership, agility, and communication skills. S/he will have a passion for data, metrics, reporting and campaign optimization. This individual must bring strategic insight, be detail oriented and have a firm understanding of the nuances of SMS marketing; including but not limited to owning and managing unsubscribes, re-engagement activities of unsubscribes and list building. The ideal candidates must demonstrate the ability to operate and excel at strategic and tactical levels.
This role is accountable for creating and executing marketing campaigns to improve lead quality and conversion across all mortgage products. This role requires a strong project driver who has the desire to roll-up their sleeves and uncover new ideas, processes, and best practices related to chat and SMS marketing. S/he understands how to drive business and create direct results and has a passion for making an impact in a complex, highly cross-functional / cross-product environment. S/he will partner with various internal stakeholders beyond the marketing team such as finance, sales, and technology to improve customer recapture.
Primary day-to-day responsibilities:
Lead the strategic campaign planning, execution and forecasting process for the chat and SMS channels.
Partner closely with Finance, Analytics, internal and external resources to ensure accurate planning, execution, optimization and results.
Drive strong sales and marketing alignment with initiatives and processes that support strong lead management, improved lead quality, campaign performance and enhanced data quality.
Continuously develop strategic initiatives and implement a “test, measure and refine” approach as well as operational excellence.
Manage all of marketing operations for the chat and SMS channel including leveraging all tools within the platform, relevant and timely targeting through segmentation and analysis, forecasting, compliance, lead management, campaign execution and bringing new solutions and ideas for channel enhancement.
Actively monitor, analyze and report on results. Be a key contributor in deep-dive analysis and Executive presentations of channel results.
Define ‘metrics that matter’ and manage the process to package these measurements into dashboards and reports to measure performance for the channel.
Understand strategic and technical fundamentals of customer marketing.
Be a conceptual, analytical, and creative thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivate, drive timelines, and manage competing agendas in an environment where process isn’t always defined.
Possess a deep understanding of consumer segmentation.
Practice outstanding oral/written communication.
Education/Training Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in marketing, executing high-impact consumer-focused chat and SMS marketing.
2+ years’ experience with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
Proven track record of deploying successful marketing strategies and tactics that yielded significant traffic/revenue.
Strong knowledge of marketing best practices and project management.
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills, adept at managing multiple priorities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, vendors, and subject matter experts.
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
Familiarity with the mortgage industry landscape is advantageous.
