VN Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Marketing/Proposal Specialist with a proven background in the engineering, construction, or consulting industries. This role requires expertise in strategic business development, persuasive writing, and creative marketing. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership and administrative staff to track opportunities, develop capture strategies, and produce high-quality proposals and marketing materials that enhance VN Engineers’ competitive position.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal & Presentation Development:
Lead the development of proposals, RFP responses, and marketing materials, ensuring compliance with client requirements and VN Engineers’ brand standards.
Manage all aspects of pursuits, including strategy development, content writing, formatting, proofreading, graphics coordination, and final production.
Support interview and presentation preparation, including coaching technical staff as needed.
Client & Business Development Support:
Track industry-specific opportunities and market trends to support strategic planning and client engagement.
Work with senior and technical staff to develop targeted client strategies and marketing initiatives.
Prepare client-focused materials, such as qualification statements, brochures, and presentations.
Coordinate and support participation in industry conferences and networking events.
Marketing & Communications:
Maintain and update marketing collateral, project descriptions, and employee resumes to showcase VN Engineers’ capabilities.
Develop compelling content for proposals, website updates, social media, and other marketing channels.
Contribute to internal marketing initiatives, including brand development and communication strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in proposal writing, marketing, or business development within the engineering, construction, or consulting industries (required).
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create persuasive and technically accurate content.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe InDesign (required); experience with Bluebeam is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to analyze client needs and tailor marketing materials accordingly.
