This position will be responsible for establishing connections through event participation, networking events, tourism initiatives, and taking the lead in social media and marketing projects. Qualifications

Minimum one (1) year experience creating social media campaigns and graphics
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written communication skills, and comfortable with public engagement
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Canva, Constant Contact
Ability to work independently, collaborate, and multi-task
Marketing strategy knowledge is helpful
Ability to work extra hours during our main events (e.g., Christmas Festival)

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Under direct supervision of the Executive Director, you will make an impact by…

Updating our calendar, website, and newsletter with upcoming events happening in our community
Populating tourism websites with Germantown community events
Assisting in the creation of business postings, press releases, newsletters, presentations, and posters while contributing to the Chamber’s narrative and outreach efforts
Creating visually appealing promotional graphics in Canva while following branding standards of the Chamber and/or our membership
Writing creative content and developing promotional graphics to share across multiple platforms, including the Chamber website and social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Providing live media coverage of chamber events through social media, including live updates, photos, and short videos
Monitoring and tracking social media metrics, providing valuable insights into the progress and effectiveness of posts and outreach efforts
Developing an annual marketing plan along with marketing campaigns for reoccurring events
Generating reports on member participation to customize event messaging for the appropriate audience.
Managing the creation and distribution strategy of the biannual Community Guide which focuses on highlighting our community and its amenities
Introducing and training colleagues on new and emerging social media trends and platforms that have the potential to positively impact the Chamber’s visibility and engagement
Supporting the team, members, and guests at events by actively participating in event planning, set-up, and teardown, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all
Engaging with co-workers, visitors, chamber members, businesses and community members professionally in office, via e-mail or by phone

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
