About the Role
We’re an independent film team launching a 30-day crowdfunding campaign for our award-winning family Christmas film, and we’re looking for a creative, organized, and film-savvy Social Media Manager to help us build momentum and visibility across platforms.
This is a remote, contract position ideal for someone who knows how to turn scrolls into shares, followers into fans, and ideally, backers.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Social Posting & Engagement
Create engaging posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, and Threads
Respond to comments and DMs promptly with a friendly, on-brand tone
Use relevant hashtags and tagging strategies to increase visibility
Content Strategy & Calendar
Implement a 30-day campaign posting schedule
Run theme days, countdowns, backer shoutouts, livestream promotions, and giveaways
Monitor campaign progress and adjust content accordingly
Visual & Copy
Draft captions that are clear, fun, and compelling
Work with our graphic designer/video editor to deliver polished visual content
Coordinate social drops, story takeovers, and team member spotlights
Analytics & Performance Tracking
Track performance data (reach, engagement, shares, traffic to campaign page)
Share weekly performance reports and insights with the team
Qualifications
Experience managing social media for film, entertainment, or crowdfunding campaigns preferred
Strong copywriting and content planning skills
Familiarity with short-form video content (especially TikTok and Reels)
Proficiency with social media scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or native apps)
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Bonus: experience with crowdfunding platforms like Seed&Spark or Kickstarter
