World Challenge, Inc. was founded by Reverend David Wilkerson in 1971 and served as a corporate umbrella for his worldwide crusades, ministers’ conferences, book and tract publication, video production, street evangelism, literature distribution, church planting, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and many charitable outreaches.

Today, World Challenge Inc. shares the message of the gospel through mission outreaches and literature distribution. Sermons from David Wilkerson and his son Gary are shared monthly through the Pulpit Series newsletter to hundreds of thousands of people. The numerous mission outreaches of World Challenge to the poor include orphanages, overseas widows’ fund, emergency/disaster relief, healthcare/clinics, community development and feeding centers.

Gary Wilkerson became president of World Challenge in 2010 and moves forward with the same heart and vision as his father.

Note: This is not a remote position. It requires regular in-office attendance, Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.

Job purpose

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing integrated marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive donations. They oversee the community of recurring donors, making sure they are informed of the impact of their generosity. It also coordinates within the Marketing team and international partners to capture the on-the-ground stories that drive the attention of our donor base and followers to the work of World Challenge.

This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with benefits.

v Salary Range

Between $75,000 and $85,000 a year based on qualifications and experience.

v Sign-on Bonus – $2,000

$1,000 paid at the end of 30-days of employment
$1,000 paid at the end of 6-months employment

Duties and Responsibilities

v Manage Recurring Donor Community

Work with Donor development team and vendors to hone messaging plan to one-time, first time donors and new leads
Create overall communication plan to message recurring donors
Work with Social Media Director to drive messaging and advertising on social platforms to include creating a Facebook recurring donor group
Communicate with recurring donors on an as needed basis through video, social media, email and other channels

v Manage Acquisition Funnel

Manage the online and print marketing funnels to drive growth
Craft creative campaigns to engage new and current audiences to connect deeper with World Challenge
Advocate for recurring donor community both in and outside of World Challenge
Work with Pastor’s Network speaking team to ensure assets and communications are in place for church leadership to connect with WC

v Recurring Donor Journey

Map the donor journey from acquition, to first time donor to recurring giver
Establish email and testing framework to constantly learn, improve, and optimize
Conceive and execute the donors digital and print pipeline to maximize retention and drive conversion which meet or exceed goals

v Analysis and Reporting

Monthly reports and analysis on recurring donor engagement and retention
Review of digital channel communications and ads
Work with Donor development team to research leads in new and long-time donors that can migrate to become recurring givers
Review donation pages and funnels to affirm that proper testing is done as well as best practices are being met.

Qualifications

v Agreement and alignment with World Challenge’s Statement of Faith

v Understands and embraces a biblical worldview

v A Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing or a related field

v Good interpersonal and communication skills to work well with others

v Excellent writing and editing skills; strong grasp of the English language in written and verbal form

v Able to juggle multiple projects at once to meet deadlines and exceed expectations

v Experience with digital marketing practices and ability to adapt to new media

v Proficient and/or experience using Luminate or other email delivery systems

Working conditions

This position works in an office setting with regular business hours Monday – Friday. On occasion, the employee may be required to work evenings or weekends to collaborate with staffs that are deployed internationally. Travel up to 15% of the year may be required.

Physical requirements

This role may require lifting up to 20-30 pounds and is performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
