DIGITAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
Contract Period: Year-round position, salaried, exempt
Supervisor: Director of Communications & Marketing
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in website management, social media strategy, content creation, web content management systems, social media management tools, and analytics platforms. Knowledge of SEO best practices, digital advertising, experience in an educational setting or non-profit organization, and experience in video production and graphic design preferred.
Profile of a Pinkerton Digital Media Specialist
Pinkerton Academy’s Digital Media Specialist is an important role in the operation of the Academy. The Digital Media Specialist plays a crucial role in advancing the mission and vision of Pinkerton Academy. This individual manages the school’s website and social media platforms. The Digital Media Specialist will use different strategies to market and highlight the Academy’s mission and vision to all stakeholders. The Digital Media Specialist will take direction and also show initiative by working independently on projects. The Digital Media Specialist possesses a strong work ethic and self-motivation for continually learning and growing communication skills. As a creative, driven, passionate go-getter, the Digital Media Specialist will assist in expanding Pinkerton Academy’s communication efforts. The Digital Media Specialist has impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, shows strong attention to detail, and can convey information clearly and effectively. The Digital Media Specialist can multi-task, and adapt to a challenging, fast-paced environment of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the daily operation, content updates, and overall maintenance of the Pinkerton Academy website.
Ensure website content is current, accurate, and aligned with the academy’s brand and messaging.
Collaborate with various departments to gather and publish relevant content.
Optimize website performance, including user experience, SEO, and accessibility standards.
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance Pinkerton Academy’s online presence and engagement.
Manage all official social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, respond to inquiries, and manage community interactions.
Produce high-quality digital content, including photos, videos, and graphics, for use on the website, social media, and other digital platforms.
Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team to develop multimedia campaigns that highlight school events, achievements, and initiatives.
Track and analyze performance metrics for the website and social media platforms, providing regular reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing.
Use insights to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of digital campaigns.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications & Marketing.
