Job Description:
The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in driving Home Team BBQ’s brand presence and customer engagement through social media channels. This position works closely with our Marketing Director to execute both digital marketing programs, manage our social media strategy, assist with merchandise online sales, and support annual marketing campaigns. The position requires the ability to be a self-starter with a passion for food, marketing, and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Social Media Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage Home Team BBQ’s social media presence across platforms (Instagram, Facebook), ensuring content aligns with brand voice and engages our community.
Reels & Video Editing: Design, edit, and optimize Reels and other short-form video content.
Engage with customers and followers across social media platforms, responding to messages and comments.
Track and analyze the performance of social media efforts and campaigns
Influencer & Partnership Collaboration: Work with influencers and manage social influencer campaigns as needed.
Must be available in the morning daily and 2-4 hours on the weekends for posting chef specials on social media
Onsite Content Creation: Create engaging, high-quality content (photos, videos, graphics) for social media. Capture in-the-moment images at our restaurant locations, special events, and behind-the-scenes content. Potential travel to Greenville and Columbia.
Merchandise Support: Assist with the promotion and distribution of Home Team BBQ merch, including packing and shipping online sales and distribution of large in-house orders to SC locations. Support the Marketing Director with monthly inventory.
Marketing Campaigns and Events: Collaborate with the Marketing Director to support various initiatives, events, and community giving efforts and promote on social media and digital campaigns. Potential travel to Greenville and Columbia for event coverage.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in social media management, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Social Media Expertise: Proven experience in managing social media platforms and developing content strategies that drive engagement.
Creativity & Visual Skills: Strong photography and videography skills
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both online and in person. Excellent writing and editing skills for social media copy and marketing materials.
Team-Oriented: Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Marketing Director and contribute to the overall marketing goals.
Self-Starter: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for BBQ & Food Culture: A love for food and an understanding of what makes Home Team BBQ unique.
Physicality Requirements:
100% – Verbally communicates, internally and externally.
50% – Seated for administrative work
50% – Standing which might require bending, stretching, crouching, twisting.
25% – Lifts/carries upwards of 35lbs infrequently (merch & t-shirt boxes)
